Einführung
Der DisplayPort Fiber Optic Extender überträgt DisplayPort-Signale unkomprimiert in voller
Auflösung und Qualität über optische LWL Kabel. Er unterstützt DisplayPort 1.2 Signale bis 4K60
bzw. mindestens bis 3840 x 2160 @ 60Hz einschließlich MST, Audiosignalen und mit DPCP
(DisplayPort Content Protection).

Installation und Betrieb
HINWEIS: MPO Kabel nicht knicken oder zu eng biegen! Anschlüsse vor Staub schützen!
1. Schließen Sie mit DisplayPort Kabeln ( 5m) die DisplayPort Signalquelle (Source) an den ≤
Transmitter an und das DisplayPort-Sink-Gerät (Monitor, Splitter, …) an den Receiver
2. Entfernen Sie ggf. die Schutzkappen auf den MPO Anschlüssen und schließen Sie das MPO
Kabel an Transmitter und Receiver an. Achten Sie darauf dass die Stecker einrasten.
3. Schließen Sie die Netzteile an Transmitter und Receiver an und schalten Sie vom Monitor aus
kommend alle Geräte ein.
4. Alle LEDs an Transmitter und Receiver sollten aufleuchten.
a. Falls nicht der Fall überprüfen Sie bitte alle Steckverbindungen
b. Wenn die Power LED nicht leuchtet liegt ein Problem mit der Stromversorgung vor
c. Wenn die Source LED nicht leuchtet liegt das Problem in der Verbindung zur DP
Signalquelle
d. Wenn die Sink LED nicht leuchtet liegt das Problem in der Verbindung zum DP Gerät am
Ausgang (Monitor, Splitter, …)
e. Wenn die Fiber LED nicht leuchtet liegt das Problem in der Verbindung zwischen
Transmitter und Receiver. Tauschen Sie in diesem Falle entweder am Transmitter oder
am Receiver die beiden Stecker des Duplexkabels. Falls dieses nicht hilft prüfen Sie bitte
ob das LWL-Kabel eine Bruch- oder Knickstelle aufweist und ersetzen Sie das Kabel.
5. Falls alles nicht hilft, versuchen Sie es mit kürzeren Anschlusskabeln zu Transmitter und
Receiver. Falls auch dies nicht hilft kontaktieren Sie bitte das LINDY Support Team unter der
auf unserer Website genannten Telefonnummer oder per Kontaktformular.

Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the Fibre Optic DisplayPort Extender. This fibre optic extender allows
you to transmit DisplayPort 1.2 signals with the full resolution of up to 3840 x 2160 @ 60Hz,
including MST, and with DPCP (DP Content Protection) without compression or loss of quality up
to 200m/600feet using a single MPO Fibre cable.

Installation and Operation
Important! Do not bend the MPO fibre cable beyond its maximum bend radius and ensure
the connectors are protected from dust.
1. Use DisplayPort cables ( 5m) to connect your DisplayPort source to the Transmitter and ≤
DisplayPort sink (monitor, splitter, converter,) to the Receiver.
2. Remove the dust covers from the MPO fibre connectors and connect them to the Transmitter
and Receiver Please ensure that the connectors snap into place before proceeding. .
3. Plug the power supplies into the transmitter and receiver and power on all your devices starting
from the sink (monitor).
4. All LEDs on Transmitter and Receiver should be lit.
a. If this is not the case ensure that all connectors are fully engaged!
b. If the power LED is not lit the Transmitter or Receiver isn’t powered up or faulty
c. If the Source LED is not lit the connection to the source is not established correctly
d. If the Sink LED is not lit the connection to the Sink device is not established correctly
e. If the Fiber LED is not lit the fiber connection between Transmitter and Receiver is not
working. Try to exchange the LC plugs with each other at either Transmitter or Receiver. If this
doesn’t help check if the fiber cable is broken or has a kink and replace it.
5. If none of this helps try shorter DisplayPort cables
6. If also this does not help please contact LINDY Technical Support team under the contact
