Before initial use
1. Read the section below.Safety
2. Remove all packaging and ensure that there are no foreign objects remaining
inside thetoaster.
3. Wipe theexterior of thetoaster with adampcloth.
4. Make sure that thecrumb tray is pushed all theway in and that thetoasting lever
is fully raised.
5. Connect themains lead to a230 V powerpoint.
6. Set thebrowning control to level .1
7. Depress thetoasting lever without having put any bread into theslots.
Thetoaster might emit asmall amount of smoke as themanufacturing residue is
burned off; this is quite normal and will stop as theheating elements get hotter.
8. Repeat points 6 and 7 afewtimes.
9. Refer to thesections and below for further details Buttons and functions Operation
on how thetoaster works.
Safety
• Toast can start to burn, so theproduct should not be placed
close to or beneath flammable materials such as curtains.
• Never use theproduct together with atimer switch, multi-
socket extension lead or similar device.
• Unplug themains lead and let theproduct cool before cleaning it.
If theproduct has acrumb tray it should be emptied and
cleaned regularly. Use asoft, damp cloth to clean thehousing.
Never use solvents or abrasive cleaning agents.
• Theproduct may be used by children of 8 years and above and
by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capability
or lack of experience and knowledge provided they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of theproduct
in asafe way and understand thehazards involved.
