1. Align the tripods’ threaded posts with the
corresponding 1/4˝-20 and 3/8˝-16 sockets
on each end of the slider (Fig. 3).
2. Screw in each tripod until secure.
Tip: It may be easier to turn the slider upside
down to screw in the tripods.
3. Using the bubble level on the camera base,
adjust the tripods to align the slider with
the horizon.
Note: The slider’s center feet can be removed for this
operation if they interfere with tripod mounting (Fig. 2).

Important!
Before mounting your camera, lock down the camera
base by securing the brake.
1. Secure the slider on a stable, level surface or make
sure that the slider is securely mounted on the tripod.
2. Tighten the brake on the camera base.
M o u n t i n g o n O n e Tr i p o d
1. Center the camera base on the slider,
and lock it down with the brake (Fig. 1).
2. Align the appropriate mounting hole
on the bottom of the camera base
with the mounting post of the tripod,
and screw the tripod in (Fig. 2).
Tip: It may be easier to turn the slider
upside down to screw in the tripod.
Note: It is recommended to use the center
3/8˝-16 socket for the greatest balance
and stability. If your tripod has a 1/4˝-20
mounting post, use a 1/4˝ to 3/8˝ bushing
adapter (available separately) to attach the
slider.
3. Using the bubble level on the camera
base, adjust the tripod legs to align the
slider with the horizon.
Note: The slider’s center feet can be
removed for this operation if they interfere
with tripod mounting (Fig. 2).

Once your camera is mounted, loosen
the brake and manually move your
camera along the slider. If the slider
is positioned at an incline, keep one
hand on the camera base before
loosening the brake (Fig. 6).

The CS-CF-30 can be mounted on a single tripod. For added stability, the
slider can be supported by two tripods or light stands.
Note: To avoid wobbling and camera shake, use sand bags or other weights
to stabilize your tripods or light stands.

The Axler CS-CF-30 Camera Slider is a portable solution for capturing
tracking shots and push-ins that can add artistic and cinematic elements
to your video productions. With sturdy 15 mm carbon-fiber rods that
support up to 50 pounds, the slider is capable of accommodating large
video cameras and lenses as well as DSLR cameras. Precision-machined
aluminum wheels assure quiet and smooth tracking along the rails for
fluid camera motion that a microphone won’t pick up. A brake lever is
conveniently located on the side of the base.
The aluminum camera base employs a 3/8˝-16 mounting stud for a video
head or ball head. A mounting cheese plate on the bottom of the base has
many 1/4˝ and 3/8˝ mounting sockets for adding lights, microphones, and
other accessories to your rig.
