BELANGRIJKE VEILIGHEIDSINSTRUCTIES
Bij het gebruik van het apparaat moeten altijd enkele basale voorzorgsmaatregelen worden genomen,
waaronder de volgende:
1. Lees voor gebruik alle aanwijzingen.
2. Als het apparaat gebruikt wordt in de buurt van kinderen dient u extra goed op te letten.
3. Laat het apparaat nooit onbeheerd achter als de stekker in het stopcontact zit.
4. Gebruik het apparaat niet als het snoer of de stekker beschadigd is, of als het apparaat niet goed
werkt, gevallen is of op enigerlei wijze beschadigd is. Breng het apparaat in dat geval voor onderzoek
of reparatie naar de dichtstbijzijnde, erkende servicedienst.
5. Om de kans op contact met heet water uit de stoomopeningen te minimaliseren, dient u het apparaat
voor elk gebruik te controleren, door het van uw lichaam af te houden en aan te zetten.
6. Het apparaat moet bij gebruik op de vloer worden gezet.
7. Gebruik het apparaat alleen waarvoor het bedoeld is. Stoom alleen in verticale richting (op en neer).
Gebruik het stoomapparaat nooit in een horizontale positie of achteroverhellend. Hierdoor zou water
kunnen ontsnappen.
8. Om het gevaar voor een elektrische schok te verminderen, mag u het apparaat nooit onderdompelen
in water of een andere vloeistof.
9. Trek nooit de stekker uit het stopcontact door aan het snoer te rekken. Pak in plaats daarvan de stekker
beet en trek deze uit het stopcontact.
10. Zorg dat het snoer niet tegen scherpe randen of hete oppervlakken aankomt. Laat het apparaat hele-
maal afkoelen voordat u het opbergt. Wind het snoer losjes om het apparaat wanneer u het opbergt.
11. Probeer de slangadapter niet te bevestigen als het apparaat aanstaat. Als de slangadapter wordt verwijderd,
bestaat er gevaar voor brandwonden.
12. Trek altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact wanneer u het apparaat met water vult. Leeg het apparaat
wanneer het niet wordt gebruikt.
13. Om het gevaar voor een elektrische schok te verminderen, mag u het apparaat niet uit elkaar halen of
proberen te repareren. Breng het in dat geval voor onderzoek en/of reparatie naar een gediplomeerde
monteur. Door het apparaat verkeerd opnieuw in elkaar te zetten, zou u zichzelf en anderen kunnen
verwonden.
14. Probeer het apparaat niet aan de slang op te hangen.
15. Als u in contact komt met hete onderdelen, heet water of stoom kunt u brandwonden oplopen. Leeg
het stoomapparaat voorzichtig omdat het water in het reservoir nog heet kan zijn.
16. Het apparaat is alleen bestemd voor huishoudelijk gebruik.
17. Om de kans dat de stop doorslaat te verminderen, dient u niet tegelijk met het stoomapparaat nog een
apparaat met een hoog wattage te gebruiken op dezelfde groep.
18. Snijd de stoomslang niet door en probeer hem ook niet te verlengen.
19. Zorg ervoor dat kinderen niet met dit apparaat spelen.
20. Het is niet zonder gevaar om dit apparaat te laten gebruiken door kinderen of personen met een
geestelijke of lichamelijke handicap, of met te weinig ervaring of deskundigheid. De voor de
veiligheid van deze gebruikers verantwoordelijke persoon dient ze duidelijke instructies te geven
voor of ze te begeleiden bij het gebruik van dit apparaat.
21. Het apparaat is niet bedoeld om te worden bediend met een externe timer of een afzonderlijke
afstandsbediening.
