Part Names
Front
1. Play/pause (1 ;/ ) button: Used for play operations in the
Music app, etc.
2. BLUETOOTH ( ) button: Used for pairing and
connecting with BLUETOOTH wireless technology
enabled devices. Refer to "BLUETOOTH
® Playback" (P5)
for pairing and connection instructions.
3. Microphone mute ( ) button: Turn on or off microphone
mute. The LED indicators light as follows each time
microphone mute is turned on or off.

Factory Reset:
Also press and hold the microphone mute button for
10 seconds to initialize the settings of this unit. (P3)
0The Google Assistant will not respond when you call it
while microphone mute is on.
4. Microphone: Used when talking to the Google Assistant.
5. Volume (i j/ ) buttons: Allows you to adjust the volume.
You can adjust the volume between 0 and 50. When you
press the volume buttons, the LED indicators light
according to the volume level for 3 seconds as follows.

0The brightness of the white LEDs let you check the volume
at each single level. The LEDs become brighter when you
increase the volume and get dimmer as you reduce the
volume.
6. LED indicators: The status of this unit is indicated by the
colors and illumination status of the LEDs.

7. Micro USB port: This is not available for use. It is only used
when the unit is being serviced.
8. AC IN terminal: Connect the supplied power cord.

Connect & Initial Setup
Power Cord Hookup
This unit includes a removable power cord. Connect the
power cord to AC IN of the unit and then connect to the
outlet. Always disconnect the outlet side first when
disconnecting the power cord.
Download the Google Home app
Use the Google Home app to setup the unit and operate it.
Download the Google Home app from Google Play or the
App Store to your smartphone or tablet.
0Google Home app can be used on the following operating
systems. (As of September 2017)
AndroidTM: Android 4.2 or later
iOS: iOS 8.0 or later (supported on iPhone
®, iPad®, and
iPod touch
®)
The smartphone or tablet needs to be connected to the same
network as this unit to setup and operate the unit. Check
network connection beforehand.
Initial Setup
Perform the following procedure when the unit is on.
1. Start the Google Home app.
When you tap "ACCEPT" for the terms of service and
privacy policy, the network connection between this unit
and the smartphone is initiated. Follow the on-screen
instructions to complete the initial settings.
2. You can select a tutorial which lets you practice using your
Google Assistant once initial settings are complete. Refer
to "Meet your Google Assistant" (P4) for information on
your Google Assistant.
Note: Your device may download and apply an Over-the-Air
software update during installation. This is normal. Please be
patient while your device is updated to enjoy the latest
Google Chromecast built-in and Google Assistant features.
Initialize
Initialize the settings of the unit to return the settings to the
status at the time of purchase. Press and hold the
microphone mute button for 10 seconds to initialize the unit.
The LED indicators flash as follows when initializing is
started.
It takes about 20 seconds to initialize. The LED indicators
turn off when initializing is finished, and the settings return to
the default settings.

Meet your Google Assistant
You can call up the Google Assistant by saying "Ok Google"
at the unit. The LED indicators flash white when the Google
Assistant has started and ready to receive questions.
Hotword Detected: When the device mics are not muted and
it recognizes the hotword "Ok Google" or "Hey Google," the
four (middle) Google Assistant LEDs light up in left-to-right
order to confirm hotword detection and await your voice
command.
Listening: After the hotword has been detected and the
Assistant is awaiting the user query, all four (middle) Google
Assistant LEDs slowly pulse.
Thinking: While a voice command is processing, the four
(middle) Google Assistant LEDs slowly blink from left-to-right,
one at a time.
Responding: As the Google Assistant responds to the user's
voice command, all four (middle) Google Assistant LEDs
blink on and off.
0The LED indicators light orange when microphone mute is
on, and there will be no response from your Google
Assistant even if you call it.

BLUETOOTH® Playback
Pairing
Pairing is necessary when connecting the BLUETOOTH
enabled devices for the first time. Perform the following
procedure when the unit is on.
1. Press and hold the BLUETOOTH button on this unit for
3 seconds.
The LED indicators flash as follows when pairing is
started.
2. Enable (turn on) the BLUETOOTH function of the
BLUETOOTH wireless technology enabled device, then
select this unit from amongst the devices displayed. This
unit is displayed as "VC-GX30****".
3. All six LEDs blink on and off when pairing is finished.
Pairing has failed if all six LEDs does not blink on and off.
Retry from step 1.
0Do steps 1 to 3 to connect another BLUETOOTH wireless
technology enabled device.
0The coverage area is within about 10 m. Note that
connection is not always guaranteed with all BLUETOOTH
wireless technology enabled devices.
Playing Back
Perform the following procedure when the unit is on.
1. Perform the connection procedure on the BLUETOOTH
wireless technology enabled device.
0You can also press the BLUETOOTH button on this unit
to connect the BLUETOOTH wireless technology
enabled device that was last connected. Note that this
may not work with some BLUETOOTH wireless
technology enabled devices.
2. Play the music files. Increase the volume of the
BLUETOOTH wireless technology enabled device to an
appropriate level.
0Due to the characteristics of BLUETOOTH wireless
technology, the sound produced on this unit may slightly
be behind the sound played on the BLUETOOTH wireless
technology enabled device.

Nom des pièces
Avant
1. Touche lecture/pause (1 ;/ ) : Utilisée pour les
commandes de lecture dans Music App, etc.
2. Touche BLUETOOTH ( ) : Utilisée pour l'appairage et la
connexion aux périphériques compatibles avec la
technologie sans fil BLUETOOTH. Consultez "Lecture
BLUETOOTH®" (P5) pour avoir des instructions sur
l'appairage et la connexion.
3. Touche coupure du microphone ( ) : Activation ou
désactivation de la coupure du microphone. Les témoins
LED s'allument de la façon suivante chaque fois que la
coupure du microphone est activée ou désactivée.

Réinitialisation d'usine:
Il est également possible d'appuyer sur la touche de
coupure du microphone pendant 10 secondes pour

4. Microphone : Utilisé pour parler à l'Assistant Google.

pouvez régler le volume entre 0 et 50. Lorsque vous appuyez sur
les touches du volume, les témoins LED s'allument en fonction du

La luminosité des LED blanches vous permet de vérifier le volume à
chaque niveau individuel. La luminosité des LED est plus forte lorsque
vous augmentez le volume et plus faible lorsque vous réduisez le volume.
6. Témoins LED : L'état de cet appareil est indiqué par les
couleurs et le mode d'éclairage des LED.

7. Port USB micro : Celui-ci n'est pas destiné à être utilisé. Il
est uniquement utilisé lorsque cet appareil est en
dépannage.
8. Borne AC IN : Permet de brancher le cordon
d'alimentation fourni.

Raccordement et Configuration initiale
Branchement du cordon d'alimentation
Cet appareil dispose d'un cordon d’alimentation amovible.
Branchez le cordon d'alimentation à la prise AC IN de
l'appareil et à la prise électrique. Toujours débrancher de la
prise en premier lorsque vous retirez le cordon
d'alimentation.
Téléchargez l'application Google Home
Utilisez l'application Google Home pour configurer l'appareil
et l'utiliser. Téléchargez l'application Google Home depuis
Google Play ou l'App Store de votre smartphone ou tablette.
0L'application Google Home peut être utilisée sur les
systèmes d'exploitation suivants. (À compter de
septembre 2017)
AndroidTM : Android 4.2 ou ultérieure
iOS : iOS 8.0 ou ultérieure (pris en charge par iPhone
®,
iPad®, et iPod touch®)
Le smartphone ou la tablette doivent être connectés au
même réseau que cet appareil pour pouvoir configurer et
utiliser ce dernier. Contrôlez la connexion réseau au
préalable.
Configuration initiale
Effectuez la procédure suivante lorsque l'appareil est en
marche.
1. Lancez l'application Google Home.
Lorsque vous touchez "AUTORISER" pour les conditions
de services et la politique de confidentialité, la connexion
réseau entre cet appareil et le smartphone est initialisée.
Suivez les instructions à l'écran pour terminer les
paramètres initiaux.
2. Vous pouvez sélectionner un tutoriel qui vous permet de
tester l'utilisation de votre Assistant Google une fois que
les réglages initiaux sont terminés. Consultez "Faites
connaissance avec votre Assistant Google" (P4) pour
avoir des informations sur votre Assistant Google.
Remarque : Votre dispositif peut télécharger et appliquer une
mise à jour du logiciel par voie hertzienne durant l'installation.
Cela est normal. Veuillez patienter tandis que votre dispositif
se met à jour pour profiter des dernières fonctionnalités de
Google Chromecast intégré et de l'Assistant Google.
Initialisation
Initialisez les paramètres de l’appareil pour qu'ils reviennent
comme ils étaient au moment de l'achat. Appuyez sur la
touche de coupure du microphone pendant 10 secondes
pour initialiser l'appareil. Les témoins LED clignotent comme
suit lorsque l'initialisation démarre.
L'initialisation prend environ 20 secondes. Les témoins LED
s'éteignent lorsque l'initialisation est terminée, et les
paramètres retrouvent leur réglage par défaut.

Faites connaissance avec votre Assistant Google
Vous pouvez appeler l'Assistant Google en disant "Ok
Google" à l'appareil. Les témoins LED clignotent en blanc
lorsque l'Assistant Google est lancé et qu'il est prêt pour les
questions.
Phrase clé détectée: Si les micros du dispositif ne sont pas
coupés et que ce dernier reconnait la phrase clé "Ok Google"
ou "Hey Google", les quatre LED (centrales) de l'Assistant
Google s'allument de gauche à droite pour confirmer la
détection de la phrase clé et attendre votre commande
vocale.
Écoute: Une fois que la phrase clé a été détectée et que
l'Assistant est en attente de la demande de l'utilisateur, les
quatre LED (centrales) de l'Assistant Google pulsent
lentement.
Réflexion: Pendant que la commande vocale est en cours de
traitement, les quatre LED (centrales) de l'Assistant Google
clignotent lentement de gauche à droite, l'une après l'autre.
Réponse: Au moment où l'Assistant Google répond à la
commande vocale de l'utilisateur, les quatre LED (centrales)
de l'Assistant Google clignotent.
0Les témoins LED restent orange lorsque la coupure du
microphone est active et que votre Assistant Google ne
donne aucune réponse même si vous l'interpellez.

Lecture BLUETOOTH®
Jumelage
Un appairage est nécessaire pour connecter les
périphériques compatibles BLUETOOTH pour la première
fois. Effectuez la procédure suivante lorsque l'appareil est en
marche.
1. Appuyez sur la touche BLUETOOTH de cet appareil
pendant 3 secondes.
Les témoins LED clignotent comme suit lorsque
l'appairage démarre.
2. Activez (mettez en marche) la fonction BLUETOOTH du
périphérique compatible avec la technologie sans fil
BLUETOOTH, puis sélectionnez cet appareil parmi les
périphériques affichés. Cet appareil s'affiche sous le nom
"VC-GX30****".
3. La totalité des six LED clignote lorsque l'appairage est
terminé.
L'appairage a échoué si la totalité de six LED ne clignote
pas. Retentez à partir de l'étape 1.
0Effectuez les étapes 1 à 3 pour connecter un autre
périphérique compatible avec la technologie sans fil
BLUETOOTH.
0La zone de couverture est d'environ 10 m. Notez que la
connexion n'est pas toujours garantie avec tous les
périphériques compatibles avec la technologie sans fil
BLUETOOTH.
Écouter
Effectuez la procédure suivante lorsque l'appareil est en
marche.
1. Effectuez la procédure de connexion sur le périphérique
compatible avec la technologie BLUETOOTH.
0Vous pouvez également appuyer sur la touche
BLUETOOTH de cet appareil pour connecter le
périphérique compatible avec la technologie sans fil
BLUETOOTH qui était connecté en dernier. Veuillez
noter que cela pourrait ne pas marcher avec certains
périphériques compatibles avec la technologie sans fil
BLUETOOTH.
2. Lisez les fichiers musicaux. Augmentez le volume du
périphérique compatible avec la technologie sans fil
BLUETOOTH jusqu'à un niveau correct.
0À cause des caractéristiques de la technologie sans fil
BLUETOOTH, le son produit par cet appareil peut être
légèrement en retard par rapport au son lu par le
périphérique compatible avec la technologie sans fil
BLUETOOTH.
