INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

INTRODUCTION

Thank you for choosing LANAFORM’s heating overblanket. This heating overblanket will give you an

unparalleled sense of well-being. Practical and lightweight, the heating overblanket will bring you

optimum comfort and warmth wherever you are.

Reliable and safe, the LANAFORM heating overblanket offers adjustable temperature control and

adjustable operating time.

Thanks to its removable power cord the LANAFORM heating overblanket is machine washable at

up to 40°C.

Tested rigorously in accordance with current European standards, the LANAFORM heating

overblanket not only makes you warm in winter but also keeps you warm in damp or rainy weather.

PLEASE READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING YOUR «HEATING

OVERBLANKET», ESPECIALLY THIS BASIC SAFETY INFORMATION:

To prevent the risk of burns, electrocution, fire or injury:

• Only use the product according to the instructions given in this manual.

• This unit is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or

mental capabilities, or persons with lack of experience or knowledge, unless a person responsible

for their safety can supervise or instruct them beforehand in the use of the unit. Children should

be supervised to make sure they do not play with the device.

• Do not use attachments that are not recommended by LANAFORM or supplied with this unit.

• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special or similar cord available from the

supplier or his after sales service.

• Do not use the unit if the power plug is damaged, if the unit is not working properly, has been

dropped on the floor or if it is damaged or has been dropped into water. In this case have the unit

examined and repaired by the supplier or his after sales service.

• Do not carry this unit by the power cord with nor use the cord as a handle.

• Always unplug the unit after use of before cleaning.

• Do not attempt to retrieve a unit that has fallen into water, unplug it immediately.

• An electrical apparatus must never remain plugged without supervision. Unplug it when you are

not using it.

• Use your heating overblanket only with the electrical plug provided.

• Never let anything drop or insert any object into any openings.

• Never use the unit in a room where aerosol (spray) is used in a room or where oxygen is being

administered.

• To disconnect the unit turn the knob to the «OFF» position, then remove the plug from the mains.

• Do not use safety pins, do not scratch the heating overblanket with a sharp object and do not beat

it with a blunt object. Do not attach the heating blanket with pins or other metal objects.

• Do not expose your heating overblanket to the sun and do not iron it. This will prevent damage to

the insulation of the electrical circuit.

• This heating overblanket is not intended to be used in a hospital.

• Do not use the heating overblanket with other heating devices or to heat other devices (foot

warmers, hot water bottle).

• This unit is intended only for family use.

• If you are concerned about your health, consult a physician before using the product.

• If you experience any pain during the use of this product, immediately stop using it and consult

your doctor.

• Never use this unit on a body part that is swollen or inflamed or in the case of skin rash.

• The remote control must remain at hand, do not leave the switch hidden under the top mattress,

pillow or another object.

• Do not use the heating overblanket when it is wet and do not turn it on to dry.

• Do not use the heating overblanket like a mattress or under a person. You may only use it as a

heating overblanket around you or over the bed.

• Do not wrap the heating overblanket around you so that you can no longer perform any

movement. Keep a space between yourself and the blanket so that you can have easy access to

the remote control or the power plug.

• Do not pinch the blanket (especially on beds with varying positions or mattresses with separate

elements).

• Do not use the blanket on animals.

• When storing your heating overblanket for a long period, store it in a dry place. Carefully check

the state of your heating overblanket before operating it again for the first time. If the power cord

appears damaged, do not operate the unit.

• Children should not use this heating overblanket on their own. It should be used as advised by a

responsible supervising adult.

• This heating overblanket should not be used by young children or persons insensitive to heat.
