2.2. Clean the recoating roller to avoid material dropping onto the tray.

3.3. Insert the build unit into the printer and clean the build-unit platform.

4.4. Locate the label on the back of the calibration tray and use the Up

on the front panel to enter the number that you see on the label.

5.5. Place the calibration tray on the platform with the label facing down.

6.6. Follow the instructions on the front panel. Calibration lasts around 40 minutes.

7.7. After the calibration, remove the tray from the build unit, clean it if necessary, and
store it in its original package.

1.1. The calibration tray is used to calibrate the fusing lamps. Avoid getting dirt and
scratches on the surface of the tray.

2.2. Store the tray indoors in the original package. HP highly recommends storing it in the
same room as the printer, to avoid temperature drift during calibration.

detergent, and a soft cloth.
