Liebe Kundin, lieber Kunde,

bitte lesen Sie die Bedienungsanleitung aufmerksam durch, bevor Sie Ihr Gerät ans Netz anschließen, um

Schäden durch nicht sachgemäßen Gebrauch zu vermeiden. Beachten Sie besonders die Sicherheitshinweise.

Sollten Sie dieses Gerät an Dritte weitergeben, muss diese Bedienungsanleitung mit ausgehändigt werden.

SICHERHEITSHINWEISE

• Falsche Bedienung und unsachgemäße Behandlung können zu Störungen am Gerät und zu Verletzungen des

Benutzers führen.

• Das Gerät darf nur für den vorgesehenen Zweck benutzt werden. Bei nicht bestimmungsgemäßem Gebrauch

oder falscher Handhabung kann keine Haftung für evtl. auftretende Schäden übernommen werden.

• Vor Anschluss ans Netz prüfen, ob Stromart und Netzspannung mit den Angaben auf dem Typenschild am

Gerät übereinstimmen.

• Gerät und Netzstecker nicht in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten tauchen. Es besteht Lebensgefahr durch

Stromschlag! Ansonsten sofort den Netzstecker ziehen und das Gerät vor erneutem Gebrauch von einem

Fachmann überprüfen lassen. Niemals selbst versuchen, das Gehäuse zu öffnen!

• Keinerlei Gegenstände in das Innere des Gehäuses führen.

• Das Gerät nicht mit nassen Händen, auf feuchtem Boden oder wenn es nass ist benutzen.

• Den Netzstecker nie mit nassen oder feuchten Händen anfassen.

• Netzkabel und Netzstecker regelmäßig auf evtl. Beschädigungen überprüfen. Im Falle von Beschädigungen

müssen Netzkabel und Netzstecker vom Hersteller bzw. einem qualifizierten Fachmann ersetzt werden, um

Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.

• Das Gerät nicht in Betrieb nehmen, wenn Netzkabel oder Netzstecker Schäden aufweisen, falls das Gerät auf

den Boden gefallen sein sollte oder anderweitig beschädigt wurde. In solchen Fällen das Gerät zur Überprüfung

und evtl. Reparatur in die Fachwerkstatt bringen.

• Nie versuchen, das Gerät selbst zu reparieren. Es besteht Gefahr durch Stromschlag!

• Das Netzkabel nicht über scharfe Kanten hängen lassen und von heißen Gegenständen und offenen Flammen

fernhalten. Nur am Stecker aus der Steckdose ziehen.

• Einen zusätzlichen Schutz bietet der Einbau einer Fehlerstrom-Schutzeinrichtung mit einem Nennauslösestrom

von nicht mehr als 30 mA in der Hausinstallation. Lassen Sie sich von Ihrem Elektroinstallateur beraten.

• Das Kabel sowie ein evtl. benötigtes Verlängerungskabel so verlegen, dass ein unbeabsichtigtes Ziehen daran

bzw. ein Darüberstolpern nicht möglich ist.

• Wird ein Verlängerungskabel benutzt, muss dieses für die entsprechende Leistung geeignet sein, ansonsten

kann es zu Überhitzung von Kabel und/oder Stecker kommen.

• Das Gerät auf eine stabile, ebene und wärmebeständige Fläche und nicht in die Nähe von offenen Flammen

(z.B. Gasöfen), sowie außer Reichweite von Kindern stellen.

• Dieses Gerät ist weder für den gewerblichen Gebrauch noch für den Gebrauch im Freien geeignet.

• Während des Gebrauchs das Gerät nie unbeaufsichtigt lassen.

• Kinder können die Gefahren, die im unsachgemäßen Umgang mit Elektrogeräten liegen, nicht erkennen.

Deshalb elektrische Haushaltsgeräte nie unbeaufsichtigt von Kindern benutzen lassen.

• Den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose ziehen wenn das Gerät nicht in Gebrauch ist und vor jeder Reinigung.

•Vorsicht! Das Gerät steht unter Strom solange es ans Stromnetz angeschlossen ist.

• Vor Ziehen des Netzsteckers das Gerät ausschalten.

• Das Gerät nie an dessen Netzkabel tragen.

BESONDERE SICHERHEITSHINWEISE

• Lediglich kaltes Wasser - keine anderen Flüssigkeiten - in den Wasserbehälter einfüllen.

• Wenn mehrmals hintereinander Kaffee zubereitet wird, das Gerät zwischen den einzelnen Brühvorgängen für

ca. 5 Minuten ausschalten.

• Die minimale bzw. maximale Wasserstandsmarkierung am Wassertank nicht unter- bzw. überschreiten.

VOR ERSTER INBETRIEBNAHME

• Alle Verpackungsmaterialien entfernen.

• Alle abnehmbaren Teile der Kaffeemaschine und die Glaskanne vor dem ersten Gebrauch sorgfältig mit

warmem Wasser abspülen.

• Netzstecker mit einer entsprechenden Steckdose verbinden.

• Den Wassertank bis zur maximalen Wasserstandsmarkierung (“12”) mit kaltem Wasser füllen und anschließend

zwei Kochvorgänge ohne Kaffeepulver durchführen.

BEDIENUNG

• Die Glaskanne mit kaltem Wasser füllen.

• Deckel des Wassertanks öffnen und die gewünschte Menge Wasser (1 bis 12 Tasse(n)) in den Wassertank füllen.

• Den Schwenkfilter herausziehen und - falls gewünscht - eine handelsübliche Filtertüte in den Permanentfilter

einsetzen.

• Mit dem mitgelieferten Messlöffel die entsprechende Menge Kaffeepulver (pro Tasse ca. 1 gehäufter Messlöffel)

in die Filtertüte bzw. den Permanentfilter füllen und das Kaffeepulver gleichmäßig darin verteilen.

• Den Schwenkfilter wieder in die Kaffeemaschine einschieben, bis dieser einrastet und die Glaskanne unter den

Schwenkfilter und auf die Heizplatte schieben.

• Die Kaffeemaschine durch Kippen des Ein-/Ausschalters auf Position I einschalten. Die rote Kontrollleuchte im

Ein-/Ausschalter leuchtet und der Brühvorgang beginnt.

• Nach Beendigung des Brühvorganges wird der Kaffee auf der Heizplatte warmgehalten, solange das Gerät

eingeschaltet bleibt. Um das Aroma des Kaffees zu bewahren, empfiehlt es sich den Kaffee nicht länger als

eine Stunde warmzuhalten.

•Hinweis: Diese Kaffeemaschine ist mit einem Tropfstop-System versehen. Dieses ermöglicht das kurzzeitige

Entnehmen der Glaskanne noch während des Brühvorganges, um vorzeitig eine Tasse Kaffee genießen zu

können. Die Glaskanne danach umgehend wieder unter den Schwenkfilter schieben, um ein Überlaufen des

Filters zu verhindern.

• Um das Gerät auszuschalten, den Ein-/Ausschalter auf Position O kippen. Die rote Kontrollleuchte im Ein-/

Ausschalter erlischt.

REINIGUNG UND PFLEGE

• Dazu auch unbedingt die Sicherheitshinweise beachten.

• Vor jeder Reinigung den Netzstecker ziehen.

• Glaskanne und Permanentfilter können mit warmem Wasser und etwas mildem Reinigungsmittel oder im

Geschirrspüler gereinigt werden.

• Das Gehäuse mit einem weichen, feuchten Tuch und mildem Reinigungsmittel reinigen.

• Niemals scheuernde Reinigungsmittel oder scharfe Gegenstände (z.B. Wurzelbürste) benutzen.

• Das Gerät und alle Zubehörteile trocknen, bevor das Gerät wieder ans Netz angeschlossen bzw. die

Zubehörteile wieder an das Gerät angebracht werden.

• Die Kaffeemaschine sollte regelmäßig entkalkt werden. Die Häufigkeit der Entkalkung hängt von der

Wasserhärte und der Benutzungshäufigkeit ab. Bei durchschnittlicher Wasserhärte empfiehlt sich eine

Entkalkung nach jeweils 3 bis 4 Monaten.

• Ein handelsübliches Entkalkungsmittel verwenden und damit verfahren, wie vom Hersteller beschrieben.

• Das Gerät anschließend zweimal mit frischem Wasser auskochen und alle abnehmbaren Teile abspülen, um

eventuelle Rückstände zu beseitigen.

Dieses Produkt darf am Ende seiner Lebensdauer nicht über den normalen Haushaltsabfall entsorgt

werden, sondern muss an einem Sammelpunkt für das Recycling von elektrischen und elektronischen

Geräten abgegeben werden. Das Symbol auf dem Produkt, der Gebrauchsanleitung oder der

Verpackung weist darauf hin.

Die Werkstoffe sind gemäß ihrer Kennzeichnung wiederverwertbar. Mit der Wiederverwendung, der stofflichen

zurückzubringen. Neben den gesetzlichen Gewährleistungsansprüchen hat der Käufer nach seiner Wahl

folgenden Garantieanspruch:

Für das gekaufte Gerät leisten wir 2 Jahre Garantie, beginnend mit dem Verkaufstag. In diesem Zeitraum

beseitigen wir kostenlos alle Mängel, die nachweislich auf Material- oder Fabrikationsfehler zurückzuführen sind,

durch Instandsetzung oder Umtausch.

Mängel, die infolge unsachgemäßer Behandlung des Gerätes und Fehler, die durch Eingriffe und Reparaturen

Dear Customer,

Please read these Operating Instructions through carefully before connecting your device to the mains, in order to

avoid damage due to incorrect use. Please pay particular attention to the safety information. If you pass the

device on to a third party, these Operating Instructions must also be handed over.

SAFETY INFORMATION

• Incorrect operation and improper use can damage the appliance and cause injury to the user.

• The appliance may be used only for it’s intended purpose. No responsibility can be taken for any possible

damage caused through incorrect use or improper handling.

• Before plugging in the appliance, check that the current and power match those given on the rating plate.

• Do not put the appliance or the plug in water or any other liquid. This could cause a fatal electric shock. If the

appliance or plug should accidentally become wet, unplug the appliance immediately and have it checked by an

electrician before using it again. Never attempt to open the appliance yourself.

• Do not place any kind of object into the inside of the housing.

• Do not use the appliance with wet hands, on a damp floor or when the appliance itself is wet.

• Do not touch the plug with wet or damp hands.

• Check the cable and the plug regularly for any possible damage. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be

replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

• Do not use the appliance if it is dropped or otherwise damaged or if the cable or plug are damaged. In the case

of damage, take the appliance to an electrical repair shop for examination and repair if necessary.

• Never attempt to repair the appliance yourself. This could cause an electric shock.

• Do not allow the cable to hang over sharp edges and keep it well away from hot objects and naked flames.

Remove the plug from the socket only by holding the plug.

• For extra protection it is possible to fit the electric household installation with a fault current breaker with a rated

breaking current of not more than 30mA. Ask your electrician for advice.

• Make sure that there is no danger that the cable or extension cable may inadvertently be pulled or cause

anyone to trip when in use.

• If an extension cord is used it must be suited to the power consumption of the appliance, otherwise overheating

of the extension cord and/or plug may occur.

• Stand the appliance on a firm, level and heatproof surface away from naked flame (eg. a gas oven) and out of

reach of children.

• This appliance is not suitable for commercial use nor for use in the open air.

• Never leave the appliance unattended while it is in use.

• Children cannot recognise the dangers involved in the incorrect use of electrical appliances. Therefore never

allow children to use household appliances without supervision.

• Always remove the plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use and each time before it is cleaned.

•Danger! Nominal voltage is still present in the appliance as long as the appliance is connected to the mains

socket.

• Switch the appliance off before disconnecting from the mains.

• Never use the cable to carry the appliance.

SPECIAL SAFETY INFORMATION

• Use only cold water – and no other liquid – to fill the water container.

• If you use the machine to make several cups of coffee one after the other, switch it off for about 5 minutes in

between each individual use.

• Do not fill below the minimum or above the maximum water level indicators on the inside of the water container.

BEFORE FIRST USE

• Remove all packaging materials.

• Before using the coffee machine for the first time, carefully wash all the removable parts and the glass jug in

warm water.

• Plug the fan into a suitable mains socket.

• Fill the water container up to the maximum mark (“12”) with cold water and operate the appliance twice but

without using any coffee.

OPERATION

• Fill the glass jug with cold water.

• Remove the lid of the water container and pour in the required amount of water (1 to 12 cups).

• Pull out the permanent filter and - if required - place an ordinary filter bag in the filter compartment.

• Using the measuring spoon supplied, put sufficient ground coffee (approximately 1 heaped measuring spoon

per cup) in the filter bag resp. in the permanent filter and level off.

• Slide the swivel filter back into the coffee machine until it locks in position and place the glass jug below the

filter and on the hotplate.

• Tilt the on/off switch to position I. The red operating light on the on/off switch will light up and the brewing

process will begin.

• When the brewing process is complete, the coffee will be kept hot on the hotplate as long as the machine is

switched on. In order to enjoy the flavour of your coffee at its best, it is recommended that you should not keep

it warm for longer than one hour.

•Please note: This coffee machine is fitted with a drop stop device. This will enable you to remove the glass jug

briefly to pour yourself a cup of coffee while the brewing process is continuing. Replace the glass jug below the

filter immediately to prevent the filter overflowing.

• To turn the appliance off, tilt the on/off switch to position 0. The red operating light on the on/off switch will go

out.

CLEANING AND CARE

• It is essential to note the safety instructions.

• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.

• The glass jug and the permanent filter can be washed in warm water with a little mild detergent or in the

dishwasher.

• Clean the outer surfaces using a soft, damp cloth and a gentle cleaner.

• Never use abrasive cleaners or sharp objects (eg. steel wool).

• Dry the appliance and all the removable parts before plugging in again or before reassembling the coffee

machine.

• The coffee machine should be regularly descaled. How often you need to do this will depend on the hardness

of the water and how often the machine is used. With water of average hardness, it is recommended to descale

the machine every 3 to 4 months.

• Use a normal descaler and follow the manufacturer’s instructions

• After using the descaler, boil up twice using fresh water and rinse all removable parts to get rid of any residue.

Do not dispose of this product in the usual household garbage at the end of its life cycle; hand it over

at a collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic appliances. The symbol on the

product, the instructions for use or the packing will inform about the methods for disposal.

The materials are recyclable as mentioned in its marking. By recycling, material recycling or other

forms of re-utilization of old appliances, you are making an important contribution to protect our environment.

Please inquire at the community administration for the authorized disposal location.

Before delivery our devices are subjected to rigorous quality control. If, despite all care, damage has occurred

during production or transportation, please return the device to your dealer. In addition to statutory legal rights, the

purchaser has an option to claim under the terms of the following guarantee:

For the purchased device we provide 2 years guarantee, commencing from the day of sale. During this period we

will remedy all defects free of charge, which can be demonstrably attributed to material or manufacturing defects,

by repair or exchange.

Defects which arise due to improper handling of the device and malfunctions due to interventions and repairs by

third parties or the fitting of non-original parts, are not covered by this guarantee.
