Safety instructions
• Read carefully through theinstructions and familiarise yourself with all thecontrols
and functions.
• Never let children or others who do not have adequate knowledge of these
instructions use theproduct. Localregulations may restrict theage of theoperator.
• Never let children play with theproduct. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not
be done by children without adult supervision.
• Never use themower close to other people and pay special attention to
thepresence of children and animals.
• Bear in mind that theoperator is ultimately responsible for any accidents or
hazards occurring to other people or their property.
• While mowing, always wear substantial footwear and long trousers. Donot operate
thelawnmower when barefoot or wearing open sandals. Avoidwearing loose
clothing which can get caught in therotating parts of thelawnmower.
• Make sure that thearea being cut is free from loose and foreign objects.
Thoroughly inspect thearea to be mowed and remove all objects which could be
thrown (stones, branches,etc.) before mowing.
• Before operating, always visually inspect to ensure that theblades and blade bolts
are not worn or damaged. Replace worn or damaged blades and bolts in sets to
preserve balance. Replace damaged or unreadable rating plates or labels.
• Only mow in daylight or in good lighting conditions.
• Avoid cutting wetgrass.
• Walk, never run with themower.
• Cut along theface of slopes, never up anddown.
• Use extreme caution when turning and changing direction on slopes.
• Always be extra careful when backing or pulling themower towards yourself.
• Turn off themower when you need to drive it over other surfaces thangrass.
• Never operate themower with defective guards, or without safety devices such as
deectors or grass catchers inplace.
• Take care and follow theinstructions when you start themower. Makesure your
feet are at asafe distance from theblades.
• Do not tilt themower so that many wheels leave theground unless absolutely
necessary when turning it on, such as when thegrass is veryhigh. Inthis case do
not tilt themower more than necessary to start themotor and only tilt thesection
facing away from theuser.
• Do not start themower if you are standing in front of thedischargechute.
• Make sure to keep hands and feet away from rotatingparts. Neverstand in front of
thedischargechute.
• Never lift or carry themower when themotor ison.

• Turn off themotor, remove thesafety key and wait until therotating parts have
stopped completelyif:
- you leave themower unattended.
- thedischarge chute is blocked and needs to be cleaned.
- you need to clean, service or carry out other maintenance.
- you have mowed over aforeign object or themower starts vibrating. Carefully
inspect themower in case of damage and repair if necessary before themower
can be turnedon.
• Regularly check that all nuts, bolts and screws are tight to ensure that theproduct
is safe touse.
• Check thegrass collector regularly for wear and tear and damage.
• If themower has several blades, bear in mind that if you rotate one blade manually
theother blades can also start moving.
• Take care when you are making adjustments or service so that your fingers don’t
get caught between theblades and other parts of themower.
• Let theproduct cool completely before putting it away for storage.
• During service, maintenance and repair bear in mind that theblades can continue
to rotate even when themotor is switchedoff.
• For safety reasons replace worn and damagedparts. Onlyuse original spare parts
and accessories.
General safety instructions for batteries and chargers
• Always be careful of inadvertent starts while attaching thebattery to themower.
Makesure that theisolator key is removed before connecting thebattery to
themower. Themower battery must only be charged indoors in dryareas.
• Only use theincluded battery charger or acharger recommended by
themanufacturer. Thebattery charger is only designed to charge certain types of
batteries. Ifacharger designed for another type of battery is used therisk for fire,
personal injury or explosion is significantly increased.
• Only use theincluded battery or abattery recommended by themanufacturer.
Useof any other types of batteries can lead to fire and/or bodily injury.
• Make sure that thecharger and its air vents are clean and unblocked.
• Check that thecharger, its mains lead and plug are whole and damage-free.
Neveruse thecharger if it has been damaged in anyway.
• Keep unused batteries asafe distance away from paper clips, coins, keys, screws
and other metal objects that could potentially short-circuit thebattery terminals.
Short-circuiting thebattery terminals can lead to fire or explosion.
• Never attempt to repair thecharger yourself. Allrepairs must only be carried
out by qualified technicians. Adamaged charger or parts of it poses arisk for
electricshock.
• Never use thebattery charger or batteries in environments where flammable liquids
or gases are stored. Thecharger becomes warm during use and can therefore
pose apotential fire hazard.

• Do not try to dismantle thebattery. Doingso poses arisk for short-circuiting.
• Do not expose thebattery to heat, such as leaving it in direct sunlight or disposing
of it infire. Riskof explosion.
• Mistreatment or adefective battery may cause gas to leak from thebattery. Always
ensure adequate ventilation. Thebattery fumes are irritating to therespiratorytract.
• Thebattery must not be exposed to moisture orwater. Riskof anelectricshock.
• Thebattery can become hot after alonger period ofuse. Letit cool before
attempting to rechargeit.
• Never attempt to open thebattery casing.
• Never store abattery in direct sunlight or at temperatures above 45°C.
• Only charge thebattery when theambient temperature is between 10°C and 40°C.
• Never expose thebattery or thecharger towater.
• Keep thecharger and batteries out of thereach of children.
• Always transport batteries in asafe manner ensuring that they do not come into
contact with each other and never in ametal container.
• Charge thebattery completely if it is not to be used for anextended period.
• Store thebattery at atemperature of 0–45 °C.It should never be left in ahot, sun-
exposedcar.
• Battery fluid can leak from thebattery if it is damaged. Avoidphysical contact
with thisfluid. Ifthis fluid comes into contact with skin; rinse thearea thoroughly
withwater. Ifthefluid comes into contact with theeyes, seek medical attention
immediately. Fluidwhich has leaked from abattery pack can cause skin irritation
orburns.
• Thebattery must only be charged with acharger that conforms to EN60335-2-29
standards.

Assembly
Handle
1. Push theends of thelower handle (18)
towards thebrackets (A) on theback
of themower. Makesure to put
thebracket pin (B) in theround hole
down on theend of thehandle.
2. Push thecoach bolt (C) into thesquare
hole (D) from theinside and screw on
thelocking knob (17) from theoutside.
Important
Make sure that
theelectrical cable (7) is
lying along theoutside
of thelower handle.
3. Place the ends of the upper handle
along the sides of thelower handle.
Ifyou apply slight pressure this makes
it easier to press theends outwards.
Important
Theelectric cable and control switch
should be on theright-hand side of
themower.
4. Push thethreaded end of thequick-
release clamp (3) through thehole from
theouter side of thehandle and screw
it onto thenut. Turnthenut Note:
so that its concave seat mates with
thetube of thehandle.

5. Screw in thequick-release clamp lever afew turns and test thetightness of
thequick-releaseclamp. Theclamp is set correctly when thecam lever touches
thewasher when it is halfway in towards thetube.
- If it is too difficult to squeeze thequick-release clamp lever down, you should
unscrew thelever.
- If you don’t notice any resistance and thelever is loose against thewasher,
screw thelever in more tightly.
6. Push thelever tightly against
thetube.
7. Undo thequick-release clamps and
fold theupper handle forwards to make
thelawnmower smaller and easier tostore.

Battery
Inserting and removing the battery
1. Lift the battery compartment lid (10).
4. Press thebattery release catch and pull thebattery upwards to removeit.
Grass collector
2. Press down theisolator key
(27) lock button to release and
removeit.
3. Slide thebattery (21) into thebattery
holder and push down as far as itgoes.
Youwill first hear aclick, when thebattery
crosses thelatch and another click
when thelatch locks thebattery securely
inplace.
Information: It is possible to use
two batteries at thesame time (additional
battery sold separately). Usingtwo
batteries will double theoperatingtime.
1. Fold up thedischarge chute hatch
(8) and keep it in theopen position.
2. Align theslots in thecorners of
thecollector with thehooks at thebase
of thecollectorlid.

Setting the cutting height
Warning
Always turn off themower and let therotating blade come to acomplete stop before
adjusting thecutting height.
Information
• Adjust cutting height in relation to grass height. Startwith ahigh cutting height and
adjust accordingly for thebest results.
• When cutting grass for thefirst time at thebeginning of theseason, themower
should be set to arather high setting in relation to grass height in order to ensure
proper healthy growth of yourlawn. Thereafter, cutting height can be adjusted
according toneed. Remember that cutting longer grass will shorten thebattery
operatingtime.
There are 6 cutting height settings:

Instructions for use
Important
This mower is only constructed to be used on residential domesticlawns. Useof
theproduct for apurpose other than that for which it was intended could result in
aninjury or damage to property.
Battery
Charging the battery
Temperature range for charging and storing thebattery: 0–40 °C.
1. Plug thecharger (24) into awall socket.
Theindicator (26) will shine green to indicate that
thecharger is receiving power from themains.
2. Insert thebattery into thecharger, making
sure that it clicks intoplace.
- Thecharging indicator (25) shines red
when charging is in progress.
- Thecharging indicator (25) goes out and
thefull charge indicator (26) shines green
when thebattery is fully charged.
3. Press in thelock buttons (22) on thebattery and remove it from thecharger when
it is fully charged.
4. Unplug thecharger from thewall socket when it is not inuse.
Battery charge status indication
Press in thered button on thebattery to check thecharge status. Ifall thegreen lights
come on thebattery is fully charged. Ifonly one green indicator comes on, thebattery
is discharged and needs to be charged before you can useit.
Note:
• Thelithium-ion battery has abuilt-in electronic deep discharge protection which
prevents partial power from being delivered. Fullpower is provided at all times until
theelectronic protection engages, turning off thelawnmower and signifying that
thebattery needs to be recharged. Donot continue work after this point, as doing
so may damage thebattery. Abattery recharge is now required before any work is
resumed.
• Thebattery also has abuilt-in electronic overload protection. Ifthelawnmower
is put under too much load, theelectronics automatically cut thepower and
thelawnmower will stop. Release thesafety handle and wait afew seconds before
switching thelawnmower onagain.
• Thelithium-ion battery has no memory which means that it can be charged at any
time regardless of batterylevel.
• Charge thebattery for at least 6 hours thefirst and second time it is charged.
• For long-term storage thebattery should be fully charged at least every 6 months.

Switching on and off
Warning
• Start themower only when your hands and feet are asafe distance from
therotatingblade.
• Theblade will continue to rotate ashort while after themotor has been
turnedoff. Always let themotor/blade come to acomplete stop before starting
themotoragain.
1. Insert thebattery.
2. Insert theisolatorkey.
3. Press thesafety lock button (4) and
keep it pressedin.
5. Release thelock-off switch and
hold in thesafety handle with both
hands while you are mowing.
4. Pull thesafety handle (6) completely
towards theupper handle (5).
6. Release thesafety handle to turn off
thelawnmower.
7. Remove theisolatorkey.

Care and maintenance
Warning
• Always use originalparts. Non-original parts can present arisk for injury even if
they should fit themower.
• Always make sure theisolator key and battery are removed from themower before
starting maintenance or servicing.
Cleaning
• Clean themower with abrush or cloth after eachuse. Useonly mild cleaning
agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Never use water to wash off themower as you can damage theelectrical
equipment.
Changing blades
Warning
Always use work gloves when holding theblade as it issharp.
1. Turn themower on one
side to inspect theblade
(20). Iftheblade is blunt
or damaged it should be
replaced.
2. Hold theblade and
loosen thebolt (19) using
a16mm spanner or socket
(soldseparately).
3. Remove theblade from
theretainingpins. Cleanif
necessary.
4. Push thenew blade onto
thespindle, make sure it is
theright way up and tighten
thebolt.
Storage
If themower is to be stored for anextended period, during winter for example,
thefollowing steps should be followed:
• Clean themower thoroughly.
• Inspect theentire mower for possible damage.
• Store themower in aclean and dry environment.
• Charge thebattery.

Troubleshooting
Theproblems described below can often be addressed by theuser. Ifthere is any
doubt, contact CustomerServices.
Problem Solution
Motor does
notstart.
• Make sure theisolator key is correctly inserted.
• Make sure thebattery is correctly inserted.
• Incorrect starting procedure. Firstpress and hold thesafety button
and then clasp thesafety handle against theupper handle.
Motor stops
suddenly.
• Theoverload protection has tripped. Letthemotor cooldown.
Increase cutting height.
• Thebattery is either too warm or toocold. Letthebattery attain
normal room temperature.
Mower vibrates
duringuse.
• Make sure there are no looseparts.
• Theblade is damaged. Replaceit.
• Make sure that theblade or its bolt is notloose.
Unsatisfactory
cutting results.
• Theblade is damaged orblunt. Replaceit.
• Thecollector isfull.
• Make sure that thecollector is not clogged.
• Thewrong cutting height has beenset. Adjust.
Thebattery
cannot be
charged.
• Thebattery is defective and needs to be replaced.
• Make sure thebattery and charger terminals are clean and free
from dirt and debris.
• Make sure that thecharger is correctly connected to thewall
socket.
Thebattery
goes flat after
ashorttime.
• Thewrong cutting height has beenset. Increase cutting height
and push themower alittle slower.
• Wetgrass. Letthegrassdry.
• Thickgrass. Increase cutting height and push themower
alittleslower.
• Make sure thebattery is not defective.

caused by incorrect waste disposal, theproduct must be handed in
for recycling so that thematerial can be disposed of in aresponsible
