• Do not place the handset in any charging cradle without the baery installed
and the baery cover securely in place.

Installing Your Handset
Charge the Baery
1. Unpackthehandset,
batterypack,andbattery
cover.Ifthebatterycover
isalreadyonthehandset,
pressinonthenotchand
slidethecoverdownand
off.
2. Lineupthebatterypack
connectorwiththejackinsidethehandset.(Thebattery
connectorwillonlyfitoneway.)
3. Pushthebatterypackconnectorinuntilitclicksintoplace.
Tuggentlyonthewirestomakesurethebatterypackis
securelyconnected.
4. Placethecoveroverthebatterycompartmentandslideit
upintoplace.
5. ConnecttheACadaptertothecharger's
AC IN 8V
jackand
setthecordintothenotch.(Thisadaptermightalreadybe
connected.)
6. Plugtheotherendoftheadapterintoastandard120VAC
poweroutlet.
7. Placethehandsetinthechargerwiththedisplayfacing
forward.Thedisplayonthehandsetshouldlightup;ifit
doesn't,reseatthehandsetortrypluggingtheACadapter
intoadifferentoutlet.
#Charge the handset completely (about 15 hours) before using it.

#The accessory handset won't work until you register it to a base!

base.OtherUnidenDECT6.0basesmightbecompatiblewith
thishandset.Forthemostup-to-datelistofwhichbasesthis
handsetiscompatiblewith,seeourwebsite.
Registraon Methods
Therearetwodifferentregistrationmethods,butit'seasyto
figureoutwhichoneappliestoyourhandsetandbase.Answer
thequestiontoregisterthehandsettooneofthecompatible
bases.
Does the handset t in the base cradle?
Yes Place the handset in the base. The display should say
Handset
Registering
.
No 1. On the base, press and hold FIND when the phone is in standby
(about 5 seconds).
2. On the handset, press and hold POUND (#) until the handset
display says
Handset Registering
(about 2 seconds).
#After about 30 seconds, the handset display should say
Registration Complete
.
Test the connecon
PickupthehandsetandpressTALK/FLASH.Makesureyou
getadialtone.(PressENDtohangup.)
If... Try...
-you don't hear a dial tone
-the display says
Registration Failed
Making sure the handset is fully
charged, then trying again.
