Der Hochdruckschlauch darf nicht
überfahren, gezogen, geknickt oder
verdreht werden.
Hochdruckschlauch oder
Anschlussleitung nicht zum Ziehen oder
Transportieren des Gerätes verwenden.
Der Hochdruckschlauch muss für den
zulässigen Betriebsüberdruck des
Gerätes zugelassen sein.
Der zulässige Betriebsüberdruck, die
höchstzulässige Temperatur und das
Herstelldatum sind auf der
Ummantelung des
Hochdruckschlauches aufgedruckt. Auf
den Armaturen sind zulässiger Druck
und Herstelldatum angegeben.
Zubehör und Ersatzteile
Warnung!
–Hochdruckschläuche, Armaturen
und Kupplungen sind wichtig für die
Gerätesicherheit. Nur
Hochdruckschläuche, Armaturen,
Kupplungen und anderes Zubehör
anbauen, das von STIHL für dieses
Gerät zugelassen ist, oder
technisch gleichartige Teile. Bei
Fragen dazu an einen Fachhändler
wenden. Nur hochwertiges Zubehör
verwenden. Ansonsten kann die
Gefahr von Unfällen oder Schäden
am Gerät bestehen.
–STIHL empfiehlt STIHL Original
Teile und Zubehör zu verwenden.
Diese sind in ihren Eigenschaften
optimal auf das Produkt und die
Anforderungen des Benutzers
abgestimmt.
Keine Änderungen am Gerät
vornehmen – die Sicherheit kann
dadurch gefährdet werden. Für
Personen- und Sachschäden, die bei
der Verwendung nicht zugelassener
Anbaugeräte auftreten, schließt STIHL
jede Haftung aus.
Körperliche Eignung
Wer mit dem Gerät arbeitet, muss
ausgeruht, gesund und in guter
Verfassung sein. Wer sich aus
gesundheitlichen Gründen nicht
anstrengen darf, sollte seinen Arzt
fragen, ob die Arbeit mit diesem Gerät
möglich ist.
Nach der Einnahme von Alkohol,
Medikamenten, die das
Reaktionsvermögen beeinträchtigen
oder Drogen darf nicht mit dem Gerät
gearbeitet werden.
Einsatzbereiche
Der Hochdruckeiniger ist geeignet zum
Reinigen von Fahrzeugen, Maschinen,
Behältern, Fassaden, Stallungen und
zum staub- und funkenfreien Entrosten.
Der Einsatz des Geräts für andere
Zwecke ist nicht zulässig und kann zu
Unfällen oder Schäden am Gerät führen.
Bekleidung und Ausrüstung
Schuhe mit griffiger Sohle tragen.
Gerät transportieren
Zum sicheren Transport in und auf
Fahrzeugen das Gerät rutsch- und
kippsicher mit Bändern befestigen.
Wenn Gerät und Zubehör bei
Temperaturen um oder unter 0 °C
(32 °F) transportiert werden, empfehlen
wir die Benutzung von Frostschutzmittel
– siehe "Gerät aufbewahren".
Reinigungsmittel
Warnung!
–Das Gerät wurde so entwickelt,
dass die vom Hersteller
angebotenen oder empfohlenen
Reinigungsmittel verwendet werden
können.
–Nur Reinigungsmittel verwenden,
die für die Anwendung mit
Hochdruckreinigern zugelassen
sind. Die Verwendung ungeeigneter
Reinigungsmittel oder Chemikalien
können zu Gesundheitsgefährdung,
zur Beschädigung der Maschine
und des zu reinigenden Objektes
führen. Bei Fragen dazu an einen
Fachhändler wenden.
Schutzbrille und Schutz-
kleidung tragen. STIHL
empfiehlt die Verwen-
dung eines
Arbeitsanzuges, um das
Risiko einer Verletzung
bei unbeabsichtigter
Berührung mit dem
Hochdruckstrahl zu
vermindern.

–Reinigungsmittel immer in der
vorgeschriebenen Dosierung
verwenden – entsprechende
Anwendungshinweise des
Reinigungsmittels beachten.
–Reinigungsmittel können
gesundheitsgefährdende (giftige,
ätzende, reizende), brennbare,
leicht entzündliche Stoffe enthalten.
Reinigungsmittel bei Kontakt mit
den Augen oder der Haut sofort
gründlich mit reichlich sauberem
Wasser ausspülen. Bei
Verschlucken sofort einen Arzt
konsultieren.
Sicherheitsdatenblätter des
Herstellers beachten!
Vor dem Arbeiten
Hochdruckreiniger nur in Verbindung mit
einem Rückflussverhinderer an das
Trinkwassernetz anschließen – siehe
"Sonderzubehör".
Warnung!
–Wenn Trinkwasser den
Rückflussverhinderer durchflossen
hat, wird es nicht mehr als
Trinkwasser betrachtet.
Gerät nicht mit verschmutztem Wasser
betreiben.
Bei Gefahr des Auftretens von
verschmutztem Wasser (z. B.
Fließsand) muss ein entsprechender
Wasserfilter verwendet werden.
Hochdruckeiniger prüfen
Warnung!
–Der Hochdruckreiniger darf nur in
betriebssicherem Zustand
betrieben werden – Unfallgefahr!
–Geräteschalter muss sich leicht auf
0 betätigen lassen
–Geräteschalter muss sich in
Stellung 0 befinden
–Hochdruckschlauch,
Spritzeinrichtung und
Sicherheitseinrichtungen auf
Beschädigungen prüfen
–Hochdruckschlauch und
Spritzeinrichtung in einwandfreiem
Zustand (sauber, leichtgängig),
korrekte Montage
–zur sicheren Führung müssen die
Handgriffe sauber und trocken
sowie frei von Öl und Schmutz sein
–Ölstand kontrollieren
–keine Änderung an den
Bedienungs- und
Sicherheitseinrichtungen
vornehmen
Elektrischer Anschluss
Warnung!
Stromschlaggefahr vermindern:
–Spannung und Frequenz des
Gerätes (siehe Typenschild)
müssen mit Spannung und
Frequenz des Netzes
übereinstimmen
–Anschlussleitung, Netzstecker und
Verlängerungsleitung auf
Beschädigungen prüfen.
Beschädigte Leitungen,
Kupplungen und Stecker oder den
Vorschriften nicht entsprechende
Anschlussleitungen dürfen nicht
verwendet werden
–elektrischer Anschluss nur an einer
vorschriftsmäßig installierten

Anschluss- und Verlängerungsleitung
sachgemäß verlegen:
–Mindestquerschnitte der einzelnen
Leitungen beachten – siehe "Gerät

kennzeichnen, dass sie nicht
beschädigt und niemand gefährdet
werden kann – Stolpergefahr!

–Die Verwendung ungeeigneter
Verlängerungsleitungen kann
gefährlich sein. Nur
Verlängerungsleitungen
verwenden, die für den
Außeneinsatz zugelassen und
entsprechend gekennzeichnet sind,
sowie einen ausreichenden
Leitungsquerschnitt haben
–Stecker und Kupplung der
Verlängerungsleitung müssen
wasserdicht sein und dürfen nicht
im Wasser liegen
–Es wird empfohlen, die
Steckverbindung z. B. durch
Verwendung einer Kabeltrommel
mindestens 60 mm über dem
Boden zu halten
–nicht an Kanten, spitzen oder
scharfen Gegenständen scheuern
lassen
–nicht durch Türritzen oder
Fensterspalten quetschen
–bei verschlungenen Leitungen –
Netzstecker ziehen und Kabel
entwirren
–Kabeltrommeln immer ganz
abwickeln, um Brandgefahr durch
Überhitzung zu vermeiden
Während der Arbeit
Warnung!
–Keine lösungsmittelhaltigen
Flüssigkeiten oder unverdünnte
Säuren sowie Lösungsmittel
(z. B. Benzin, Heizöl,
Farbverdünner oder Aceton)
ansaugen. Diese Stoffe
beschädigen die am Gerät
verwendeten Materialien. Der
Sprühnebel ist hochentzündlich,
explosiv und giftig.
Immer für festen und sicheren Stand
sorgen.
Vorsicht bei Glätte, Nässe, Schnee, Eis,
an Abhängen oder auf unebenem
Gelände – Rutschgefahr!
Hochdruckreiniger vom
Reinigungsobjekt möglichst weit
entfernt abstellen.
Gerät nur stehend betreiben. Gerät nicht
abdecken, auf ausreichende
Motorbelüftung achten.
Hochdruckstrahl nicht auf Tiere richten.
Hochdruckstrahl nicht auf uneinsehbare
Stellen richten.
Kinder, Tiere und Zuschauer fernhalten.
Beim Reinigen dürfen keine
gefährlichen Stoffe (z. B. Asbest, Öl)
von dem zu reinigenden Objekt in die
Umwelt gelangen. Unbedingt
einschlägige Umweltrichtlinien
beachten!
Keine Oberflächen aus Asbestzement
mit dem Hochdruckstrahl bearbeiten.
Außer dem Schmutz könnten
gefährliche, lungengängige
Asbestfasern gelöst werden. Gefahr
besteht besonders nach der Trocknung
der bearbeiteten Oberfläche.
Empfindliche Teile aus Gummi, Stoff
o. ä. nicht mit einem Rundstrahl, z. B.
mit der Rotordüse reinigen. Beim
Reinigen auf genügend Abstand
zwischen Hochdruckdüse und
Oberfläche achten, um eine
Beschädigung der zu reinigenden
Oberfläche zu vermeiden.
Der Hebel der Spritzpistole muss
leichtgängig sein, und sich von selbst in
die Ausgangsstellung bewegen,
nachdem er losgelassen wurde.
Spritzeinrichtung mit beiden Händen
festhalten, um Rückstoßkraft und bei
Spritzeinrichtungen mit abgewinkeltem
Strahlrohr zusätzlich entstehendes
Drehmoment sicher aufnehmen zu
können.
Bei Beschädigung der
Netzanschlussleitung
sofort den Netzstecker
ziehen – Lebensgefahr
durch Stromschlag!
Gerät selbst, andere
Elektrogeräte niemals mit
dem Hochdruckstrahl
oder dem Wasser-
schlauch abspritzen –
Kurzschlussgefahr!
Elektrische Anlagen,
Anschlüsse und
stromführende Leitungen
nicht mit dem Hochdruck-
strahl oder dem
Wasserschlauch absprit-
zen – Kurzschlussgefahr!
Die Bedienungsperson
darf den
Flüssigkeitsstrahl weder
auf sich selbst noch auf
andere Personen rich-
ten, auch nicht um
Kleidung oder Schuhe zu
reinigen –
Verletzungsgefahr!

Anschlussleitung und
Hochdruckschlauch nicht durch
Überfahren, Quetschen, Zerren usw.
beschädigen, vor Hitze und Öl schützen.
Anschlussleitung nicht mit dem
Hochdruckstrahl berühren.
Falls das Gerät nicht
bestimmungsgemäßer Beanspruchung
(z. B. Gewalteinwirkung durch Schlag
oder Sturz) ausgesetzt wurde,
unbedingt vor weiterem Betrieb auf
betriebssicheren Zustand prüfen – siehe
auch "Vor dem Arbeiten". Auch die
Funktionstüchtigkeit der
Sicherheitseinrichtungen prüfen.
Nichtbetriebssicheres Gerät auf keinen
Fall weiter benutzen. Im Zweifelsfall
Fachhändler aufsuchen.
Vor dem Verlassen des Gerätes: Gerät
ausschalten – Netzstecker ziehen.
Sicherheitseinrichtung
Unzulässig hoher Druck wird beim
Ansprechen der Sicherheitseinrichtung
über ein Überströmventil in die
Saugseite der Hochdruckpumpe
zurückgeleitet. Die
Sicherheitseinrichtung ist werksseitig
eingestellt und darf nicht verstellt
werden.
Nach der Arbeit
–Netzstecker aus der Steckdose
ziehen
–Wasserzulaufschlauch zwischen
Gerät und Wasserversorgung
trennen
Netzstecker nicht durch Ziehen an der
Anschlussleitung aus der Steckdose
ziehen, am Netzstecker anfassen.
Wartung und Reparaturen
–Nur hochwertige Ersatzteile
verwenden. Ansonsten kann die
Gefahr von Unfällen oder Schäden
am Gerät bestehen. Bei Fragen
dazu an einen Fachhändler
wenden.
–Arbeiten am Gerät (z. B.
Anschlussleitung ersetzen) dürfen
nur von autorisierten Elektro-
Fachkräften ausgeführt werden, um
Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.
Kunststoffteile mit einem Tuch reinigen.
Scharfe Reinigungsmittel können den
Kunststoff beschädigen.
Kühlluftschlitze im Motorgehäuse bei
Bedarf reinigen.
Gerät regelmäßig warten. Nur
Wartungsarbeiten und Reparaturen
ausführen, die in der
Gebrauchsanleitung beschrieben sind.
Alle anderen Arbeiten von einem
Fachhändler ausführen lassen.
STIHL empfiehlt STIHL Original
Ersatzteile zu verwenden. Diese sind in
ihren Eigenschaften optimal auf das
Gerät und die Anforderungen des
Benutzers abgestimmt.
STIHL empfiehlt Wartungsarbeiten und
Reparaturen nur beim STIHL
Fachhändler durchführen zu lassen.
STIHL Fachhändlern werden
regelmäßig Schulungen angeboten und
technische Informationen zur Verfügung
gestellt.
Bei gewerblich genutzten
Hochdruckreinigern gilt:
Hochdruckreiniger sind bei Bedarf,
mindestens jedoch alle 12 Monate
durch einen Sachkundigen auf ihren
arbeitssicheren Zustand zu prüfen. Bei
stillgelegten Geräten kann die
Überprüfung bis zur nächsten
Inbetriebnahme ausgesetzt werden. Die
Ergebnisse der Prüfung sind schriftlich
festzuhalten und bis zur nächsten
Prüfung aufzubewahren. Sie sind auf
Verlangen vorzuzeigen.
Die für einen gefahrlosen Betrieb des
Hochdruckreinigers vorgeschriebenen
Regelungen sind in der "Arbeiten mit
Flüssigkeitsstrahlern“ (BGR 500, Kapitel
2.36) und „Elektrische Anlagen und
Betriebsmittel“ (BGV A3) enthalten.
Diese Unfallverhütungsvorschrift ist
unbedingt zu beachten.
Gerät vor dem Verlas-

Zum Lösen der
Schlauchtrommelbremse den Knopf (1)
nach unten ziehen und gegen den
Uhrzeigersinn drehen.
Zum Arretieren der Schlauchtrommel
den Knopf (1) der
Schlauchtrommelbremse im
Uhrzeigersinn drehen und durch
leichtes Drehen an der Kurbel einrasten.
NHochdruckschlauch (2) abwickeln
NSchlauchführung (3) öffnen
NÜberwurfmutter (4) abdrehen
NHochdruckschlauch (2) vom
Anschlussstutzen ziehen

Wasserschlauch vor Anschluss an das
Gerät kurz mit Wasser spülen, damit
Sand und andere Schmutzteilchen nicht
in das Gerät gelangen können.
NSchlauch anschließen
(Durchmesser 3/4", Länge
mindestens 10 m um Druckimpulse
abzufangen)
NKlauen ineinander führen und bis
zum Anschlag nach rechts drehen
NWasserhahn öffnen
Das Gerät kann im Saugbetrieb auch
aus Gewässern, Zisternen, Behältern
o. ä. gespeist werden – siehe
"Drucklose Wasserversorgung
herstellen".
Anschluss an das Trinkwassernetz
Beim Anschluss an das
Trinkwassernetz muss zwischen
Wasserhahn und Schlauch ein
Rückflussverhinderer (Bauart BA)
gemäß EN 60335-2-79 installiert sein.
Wenn Trinkwasser den
Rückflussverhinderer durchflossen hat,
wird es nicht mehr als Trinkwasser
betrachtet.
Die Regelungen des örtlichen
Wasserversorgungsunternehmens zur
Verhinderung des Rückfließens von
Wasser aus dem Hochdruckreiniger in
das Trinkwassernetz sind zu beachten.
Der Hochdruckreiniger kann im
Saugbetrieb nur mit dem Saugset
(Sonderzubehör) betrieben werden.
Die Verwendung eines Wasserfilters
wird grundsätzlich empfohlen.

mitgelieferten Schlauchkupplungen sind
im Saugbetrieb nicht dicht und daher für
das Ansaugen von Wasser nicht
geeignet.

Engineering improvements
STIHL's philosophy is to continually
improve all of its products. For this
reason we may modify the design,
engineering and appearance of our
products periodically.
Therefore, some changes, modifications
and improvements may not be covered
in this manual.
Warning!
–Minors should never be allowed to
use the high-pressure cleaner –
except for young trainees over the
age of 16 when working under
supervision.
–Supervise children to ensure that
they do not play with the machine.
–The machine should only be
provided or loaned to people
familiar with this model and its
operation. The instruction manual
should always be handed over with
the machine.
–Do not use the machine if anyone
not wearing protective clothing is in
the working area.
–Before starting any work on the
machine, e. g., cleaning, servicing,
replacement of parts – unplug the
power plug!
Observe the national safety regulations
issued, for example, by the employers'
liability insurance association, social
security institutions, occupational safety
and health authorities or other
organizations.
When not using the machine, it must be
put down in such a way that it does not
endanger anyone. Ensure that the
machine cannot be used without
authorization; unplug the power cord.
Persons who are unable to operate the
machine safely due to limited physical,
sensory or mental capacity may only use
the machine under the supervision of or
after instruction by a responsible person.
The user is responsible for accidents or
risks involving third parties or their
property.
If using the machine for the first time:
Have your STIHL dealer or another
expert show you how to use it safely.
In some countries, operation of
machines that emit noise may be
restricted by municipal regulations.
Observe national regulations.
Always check that the machine is in
good working order before starting work.
Pay particular attention to the power
cord, mains plug, high-pressure hose,
spray attachment and safety
mechanisms.
Never operate the machine with a
defective high-pressure hose – ensure
that it is replaced immediately.
The machine may only be used when all
parts are in perfect working order.
The high-pressure hose must not be
driven over, pulled, buckled or twisted.

Do not use the high-pressure hose or
power cord to pull or transport the
machine.
The high-pressure hose must be
approved for the permissible excess
pressure of the machine.
The permissible excess pressure, the
maximum permitted temperature and
the date of manufacture are stated on
the cladding of the high-pressure hose.
The permissible pressure and date of
manufacture are specified on the fittings.
Accessories and spare parts
Warning!
–High-pressure hoses, fittings and
couplings are important for machine
safety. Only high-pressure hoses,
fittings, couplings and other
accessories which have been
approved by STIHL for this machine
or technically equivalent parts may
be mounted on the machine.
Contact a servicing dealer if in
doubt. Use only high-quality
accessories, Otherwise, there may
be a risk of accidents or damage to
the machine.
–STIHL recommends the use of
genuine STIHL parts and
accessories. These have been
optimized for the product and the
user's requirements.
Never modify the machine in any way,
as this could be extremely dangerous.
STIHL excludes all liability for personal
injury and damage to property caused
while using unauthorized attachments.
Physical suitability
The machine may only be operated by
people who are fit, in good physical
health and in good mental condition. If
you have any condition that might be
aggravated by strenuous work, check
with your doctor before operating a
machine.
Anyone who has consumed alcohol,
medicines affecting their ability to react
or drugs must not operate the machine.
Spheres of application
The high-pressure cleaner can be used
to clean motor vehicles, machines,
tanks, facades or stables and to remove
rust without dust or sparks.
Other uses are not permitted and may
lead to accidents or damage to the
machine.
Clothing and equipment
Wear shoes with non-slip soles.
Transporting the machine
When transporting the machine in or on
a vehicle, it must be secured, e.g. with
straps, so that it cannot slip or tip over.
Antifreeze is recommended if the
machine and accessories are to be
transported at temperatures near or
below 0 °C (32 °F) - see “Storage”.
Detergents
Warning!
–The machine was designed for use
with the detergents offered or
recommended by the manufacturer.
–Use only detergents that are
approved for use with high-pressure
cleaners. Use of unsuitable
detergents can cause damage to
health, as well as to the machine
and the object to be cleaned.
Contact a servicing dealer if in
doubt.
–Always use detergent in the
specified dosage – follow the
corresponding instructions for use
of the detergent.
–Chemical detergents may contain
physiologically harmful (toxic,
caustic, irritant), flammable or
explosive substances. In the event
of skin or eye contact with
detergent, flush the affected body
parts with plenty of clean water
immediately. If detergent is
swallowed, seek medical attention
immediately. Note the
manufacturer's safety data sheets!
Wear goggles and pro-
tective clothing. STIHL
recommends that a
boilersuit be worn in
order to reduce the risk of
injury due to accidental
exposure to the high-
pressure jet.

Before starting work
Only connect the high-pressure cleaner
to the drinking water main in conjunction
with a backflow preventer – see "Special
accessories".
Warning!
–If drinking water has passed
through the backflow preventer, it
can no longer be regarded as
drinking water.
Do not use the machine with dirty water.
If there is a risk that dirty water will occur
(e. g., flowing sand), an appropriate
water filter must be used.
Inspecting the high-pressure cleaner
Warning!
–The high-pressure cleaner should
only be used if it is in full working
order – risk of accident!
–It must be possible to move the
switch to the 0 position easily
–The switch must be in the 0 position
–Inspect the high-pressure hose,
spray attachment and safety
mechanisms for damage
–High-pressure hose and spray
attachment in good condition
(clean, moving easily) and correctly
assembled
–For good control of the machine, the
handles should be clean and dry
with no oil or dirt on them
–Check the oil level
–Never attempt to modify the controls
or safety devices
Electrical connection
Warning!
Minimize the risk of electrical shock:
–Voltage and frequency of the
machine (see rating plate) must
match the voltage and frequency of
the mains supply
–Examine the power cord, power
plug and extension cord for
damage. Damaged cords,
couplings and plugs or power cords
that do not comply with the
regulations must not be used
–Only connect the machine to a
correctly installed power socket
–The insulation on the power cord
and any extension cord, the plug
and the coupling must be fully intact
–Never touch the power plug, power
cord and extension cord and
electrical plug connections with wet
hands
Warning!
Route the power cord and extension
cord properly:
–Observe the minimum cross-section
of the individual cords – see
"Connecting the machine to the
power supply"
–Route and mark the power cord so
that it cannot become damaged and
no one is endangered – danger of
stumbling!
–Use of unsuitable extension cords
can be dangerous. Use only
extension cords that are approved
for outdoor use and are
correspondingly marked and have a
sufficient cross-section
–The connector and coupling of the
extension cord must be waterproof
and not lie in water
–It is advisable to keep the plug
connection at least 60 mm above
the ground/floor. for example, by
using a cable reel
–don't let the cord rub against edges
or pointed or sharp objects
–don't squeeze the cord under doors
or windows
–if cords become snarled – unplug
the power plug and unsnarl the cord
–always unroll the power cord from
the cable reel completely to avoid
risk of fire due to overheating
Do not connect the high-
pressure cleaner directly
to the drinking water
main.

During work
Warning!
–Never draw in fluids containing
solvents or undiluted acids and
solvents (e. g., gasoline, heating oil,
paint thinner or acetone). These
substances damage the materials
used in the machine. The spray is
highly combustible, explosive and
poisonous.
Ensure you always have a firm and safe
footing.
Beware of slipping on ice, water, snow
or uneven ground!
Keep the high-pressure cleaner as far
away as possible from the object being
cleaned.
The machine may only be operated in an
upright position. Do not cover the
machine and ensure adequate motor
ventilation.
Do not direct the high-pressure jet
against animals.
Do not direct the high-pressure jet onto
places you cannot see.
Children, animals and bystanders must
remain at a distance.
Hazardous substances (such as
asbestos or oil) must not be allowed to
escape into the environment unchecked
when working with the machine. The
applicable environmental regulations
must be observed without fail.
Surfaces of asbestos cement must
never be cleaned with a high-pressure
jet. Hazardous, breathable asbestos
fibers may be released in addition to the
dirt. The danger is greatest when the
washed surface has dried.
Delicate parts made of rubber, fabric or
similar materials must not be cleaned
with a pencil jet, e.g. from the rotary
nozzle. Maintain a sufficient distance
between the high-pressure hose and the
surface when cleaning to avoid any
damage to the surface being cleaned.
The trigger on the spray gun must move
easily and automatically return to its
starting position when released.
Hold the spray attachment firmly with
both hands in order safely to withstand
the kickback force and additional torque
produced when using spray
attachments with angled spray lance.
Ensure that the power cord and the high-
pressure hose are not damaged by
being driven over, squashed or pulled;
protect them against heat and oil.
Do not touch the power cord with the
high-pressure jet.
If the machine is subjected to unusually
high loads for which it was not designed
(e. g., heavy impact or a fall), always
check that it is in good condition before
continuing work - refer also to the
chapter "Before starting work". Also
make certain that the safety
mechanisms are working properly.
Never continue using a machine that is
not in perfect working order. Consult a
servicing dealer if in doubt.
Before leaving the machine: Switch off
the machine – unplug the power cord.
Safety equipment
When the safety equipment is activated,
excessive pressure is returned to the
intake side of the pump via a safety
valve. This safety feature has been set
by the manufacturer and must not be
adjusted.
After finishing work
–Unplug the power plug from the
socket
–Disconnect water intake hose
between machine and water supply
The plug must be discon-
nected immediately if the
cord is damaged – dan-
ger of electrocution!
Never direct the high-
pressure jet or water
hose against the machine
itself or against other
electrical appliances and
equipment – danger of
short-circuiting!
Never direct the high-
pressure jet or water
hose against electrical
equipment, connections
and power cords – dan-
ger of short-circuiting!
Never direct the high-
pressure jet against your-
self or other people, not
even to clean clothing or
shoes – risk of injury!
Switch off the
machine before leav-
ing it!

Disconnect the high-pressure hose
NRelease the hose reel brake
To release the hose reel brake, push the
button (1) down and turn it
counterclockwise.
To lock the hose reel in position, turn the
button (1) controlling the hose reel brake
clockwise and turn the crank handle a
little way until it engages.
NUnroll the high-pressure hose (2)
NOpen the hose guide (3)
NUnscrew the union nut (4)
NPull high-pressure hose (2) off of
connector
Connecting the high-pressure hose
NPush the high-pressure hose (2)
onto the connector of the hose reel
NAttach union nut (4) and screw it on
and tighten by hand
NPush the high-pressure hose into
the hose guide (3) and close the
hose guide.
NRelease the brake (1) on the hose
reel and wind up the high-pressure
hose
If necessary, the high-pressure hose
can be connected directly to the high-
pressure hose connection of the
machine.
For this purpose:
NLoosen and remove the union nut of
the high-pressure hose connection
NUnscrew the screw plug with a
size 8 hexagon socket wrench
NRemove the high-pressure hose
from the hose reel
NConnect the high-pressure hose as
for machines without hose reel
High-pressure hose and spray gun
Connection
NPush the high-pressure hose (1)
onto the connector (2)
NAttach union nut (3) and screw it on
and tighten by hand
Disconnection
NPush the coupling (4) in the
direction of the arrow and hold it
NLoosen the union nut (3) and
unscrew it from the connector in the
direction of the arrow
High-pressure hose extension
As a rule, always use only one high-
pressure hose extension – see "Special
accessories"

Briefly rinse out the water hose before
connecting it to the machine to prevent
sand and other particles from entering
the machine.
NConnect hose (3/4" diameter, length
at least 10 m to absorb pressure
surges)
NMesh the jaws with each other and
turn right as far as possible
NTurn on water supply
In suction operation, the machine can
also be connected to rivers, lakes,
cisterns and tanks, etc. – see
"Connecting to a pressureless water
supply".
Connection to the drinking water main
When hooking up to the drinking water
main, a backflow preventer (Type BA in
accordance with EN 60335-2-79) must
be installed between the water tap and
the hose.
If drinking water has passed through the
backflow preventer, it can no longer be
regarded as drinking water.
Follow the rules laid down by the local
water supply company to prevent water
flowing back from the high-pressure
cleaner into the drinking water main.
The high-pressure cleaner can only be
used in suction operation with the
suction set (special accessory).
As a rule, it is advisable to use a water
filter.
NConnect the machine to the
pressurized water supply and start it
up briefly in accordance with the
Instruction Manual

NConnect spray attachment
NSwitch on the machine with the

NActuate the spray gun several times
briefly in order to bleed the air out of
the machine as quickly as possible
The voltage and frequency of the
machine (see rating plate) must match
the voltage and frequency of the power
connection.
The minimum fuse protection of the
power connection must comply with the
specifications – see "Specifications".
The machine must be connected to the
power supply via an earth-leakage
circuit breaker to disconnect the power
supply if the differential current to earth
exceeds 30 mA for 30 ms.
The power connection must correspond
to IEC 60364-1 and relevant national
regulations.
When the machine is switched on,
voltage fluctuations that occur under
unfavorable mains conditions (high
power line impedance) may negatively
affect other connected electrical
appliances. Trouble is not anticipated at
power line impedances less than
0.15 ohms.
The extension cord must have the

The machine may only be switched on
when the water intake hose is connected
and the water supply has been turned
on. Otherwise the machine may be
damaged due to lack of water.
NCompletely unroll the high-pressure
hose
NTurn the master switch to I – now
the machine is in standby mode

be cleaned – never at persons!
When the machine is switched on,

Pressure/quantity control on the
machine
Working pressure and water flow rate
can be set on the high-pressure pump
for long-term adjustment in line with the
cleaning job concerned.
NTurn the knob (3) to set the working
pressure and water flow rate
The pressure in the high-pressure pump
is indicated by a pressure gauge (4).
The indicated pressure is not always the
same as the pressure in the spray lance
before the nozzle. The pressure before
the nozzle depends on the position of
the pressure/quantity control lever on
the spray gun.

Safety shutdown
If the switched on machine is not
operated, it disconnects from the power
mains automatically after 30 minutes.
Protection against inadvertent operation

Motor coasting function
The pump continues to run without
pressure in bypass mode for
approx. 20 seconds after closing the
spray gun before the motor switches off.
This prevents the automatic cutoff

Always unplug the power cable before
servicing or cleaning the machine.
In order to ensure trouble free operation,
we recommend carrying out the
following steps whenever the machine is
used:
NRinse the water hose, high-
pressure hose, spray lance and
accessories with water before fitting
them
NRemove all sand and dust from the
plug-type coupling of the spray
lance and the coupling sleeve of the
spray gun
Cleaning the high-pressure nozzle
Since the pump pressure increases if
the nozzle is clogged, it must be cleaned
immediately.
NSwitch off machine
NActuate the spray gun until water
merely drips from the spray head –
the machine is now depressurized
NRemove spray lance
NClean nozzle with a suitable needle
Always remove the spray lance before
cleaning the nozzle.

and stored as carefully as described in
this owner's manual.
The user is responsible for all damage
caused by failure to comply with the
safety, operating and maintenance
instructions. This applies in particular

–Product modifications not
authorized by STIHL
–Use of accessories that are not
approved for the machine,
unsuitable or of inferior quality
–Use of the machine in a manner not
in keeping with the intended use

Maintenance work
All of the tasks listed under
"Maintenance and Repairs" must be
carried out periodically. If the user does
not carry out these maintenance tasks
him- or herself, they should be
delegated to a dealer.
STIHL recommends that maintenance
and repair work be carried out only by
authorized STIHL dealers. STIHL
dealers receive regular training and are
supplied with technical information.
If these tasks are not performed or are
performed improperly, this may result in
damage for which the user is
responsible. Among other things, this

Pipe cleaning kit

There is a mark (arrow) at the end of the

Ne jamais travailler avec un flexible
haute pression endommagé – le
remplacer immédiatement.
L’appareil ne doit être mis en service
que si aucun de ses composants n’est
endommagé.
Il ne faut pas rouler sur le flexible haute
pression, ni l’étirer, le plier ou le vriller.
Ne pas utiliser le flexible haute pression
ou le câble de raccordement pour tirer
ou transporter l’appareil.
Le flexible haute pression doit être
homologué pour la pression de service
maximale admissible du nettoyeur.
La pression de service maximale
admissible, la température maximale
admissible et la date de fabrication sont
indiquées sur la gaine du flexible haute
pression. La pression admissible et la
date de fabrication sont indiquées sur
les éléments de robinetterie.
Accessoires et pièces de rechange
Avertissement !
–Les flexibles haute pression, les
raccords et les éléments de
robinetterie sont essentiels pour la
sécurité de l’appareil. Il faut
exclusivement monter des flexibles
haute pression, des éléments de
robinetterie, des raccords et autres
accessoires qui sont autorisés par
STIHL pour cet appareil ou alors
des pièces techniquement
équivalentes. Consulter un
distributeur agréé pour toute
question à ce sujet. N’utiliser que
des accessoires de haute qualité
afin de réduire au maximum tout
risque d’accident ou de dommages
à l’appareil.
–STIHL recommande d’utiliser des
pièces et des accessoires originaux
STIHL. Les propriétés de ceux-ci
sont adaptées de manière optimale
au produit et aux exigences de
l’utilisateur.
N’apporter aucune modification à
l’appareil – la sécurité risquerait d’en
être affectée. STIHL exclue toute
responsabilité pour les dommages
corporels et matériels qui résultent de
l’utilisation d’accessoires non
homologués.
Condition physique
Quiconque utilise l’appareil doit être
reposé, en bonne santé et en bonne
condition physique. Il est conseillé à
toute personne qui ne doit pas se
fatiguer pour des raisons de santé de
consulter son médecin pour savoir si
l’utilisation de cet appareil ne présente
aucun risque.
Il est interdit d’utiliser l’appareil après
avoir consommé de l’alcool, des
médicaments qui affectent la réactivité
ou des drogues.
Domaines d’applications
Le nettoyeur haute pression convient
tout spécialement pour le nettoyage de
véhicules automobiles, machines,
réservoirs, façades, locaux d’une
exploitation agricole et pour le décapage
d’objets rouillés, sans dégagement de
poussière ni d’étincelles.
Il est interdit d’utiliser cet appareil pour
d’autres travaux – cela pourrait causer
des accidents ou détériorer l’appareil.
Vêtements et équipements
Porter des chaussures munies d’une
semelle antidérapante.
Transport de l’appareil
Pour transporter l’appareil en toute
sécurité dans ou sur un véhicule, le fixer
avec des sangles de telle sorte qu’il ne
risque pas de glisser ou de se renverser.
Si l’appareil et les accessoires doivent
être transportés à des températures
proches de 0 °C (32 °F) ou plus basses,
il est recommandé d’utiliser de l’antigel,
voir « Rangement de l’appareil ».
Porter des lunettes de

Produits de nettoyage
Avertissement !
–L’appareil a été conçu de manière à
pouvoir utiliser les détergents
proposés ou recommandés par le
fabricant.
–Utiliser exclusivement des
détergents qui sont homologués
pour une utilisation avec des
nettoyeurs haute pression.
L’utilisation de détergents ou de
produits chimiques inadéquats peut
donner lieu à des risques pour la
santé ou provoquer des dommages
à la machine et à l’objet à nettoyer.
Consulter un distributeur agréé pour
toute question à ce sujet.
–Il faut toujours utiliser le détergent
avec le dosage préconisé –
observer les consignes d’utilisation
correspondantes du détergent.
–Les détergents peuvent renfermer
des substances nocives (toxiques,
caustiques, irritantes), combustibles
ou facilement inflammables. Si du
détergent devait entrer en contact
avec les yeux ou la peau, rincer
immédiatement et abondamment à
l’eau claire. Consulter
immédiatement un médecin en cas
d’ingestion. Se conformer aux
fiches techniques de sécurité du
fabricant !
Avant le travail
Il faut impérativement utiliser un clapet
de non-retour pour raccorder le
nettoyeur haute pression au réseau
d’eau potable – voir « accessoires
optionnels ».
Avertissement !
–De l’eau potable qui a traversé le
clapet de non-retour n’est plus
considérée comme de l’eau
potable.
Ne pas utiliser l’appareil avec de l’eau
sale.
S’il y a risque de présence d’eau sale
(par exemple sable mouvant), il faut
employer un filtre à eau en
conséquence.
Contrôle du nettoyeur haute pression
Avertissement !
–Le nettoyeur haute pression ne doit
être utilisé que s’il présente une
parfaite sécurité de fonctionnement
– Risque d’accident !
–L’interrupteur de l’appareil doit
pouvoir être facilement amené sur

–L’interrupteur de l’appareil doit se
trouver sur 0.
–Il faut vérifier si le flexible haute
pression, le dispositif de projection
et les dispositifs de sécurité ne sont
pas endommagés.
–Flexible haute pression et dispositif
de pulvérisation en parfait état
(propres, faciles à manipuler),
montage correct
–Pour une conduite en toute sécurité,
les poignées doivent être propres et
sèches, exemptes d’huile et
propres.
–Contrôler le niveau d’huile
–N’apporter aucune modification aux

Précautions à prendre pour réduire les
risques d’électrocution :
–La tension et la fréquence de
l’appareil (voir la plaque
signalétique) doivent coïncider avec
la tension et la fréquence du réseau
électrique.
–Il faut vérifier si le câble de
raccordement, la fiche secteur et la
rallonge ne sont pas endommagés.

–Isolation du câble de raccordement
et de la rallonge, fiches et prises en
parfait état
–Ne jamais saisir la fiche secteur, le
câble de raccordement et la
rallonge ainsi que les connecteurs
électriques avec des mains
mouillées
Avertissement !
Le câble de raccordement et la rallonge
doivent être posés correctement :
–Il faut tenir compte des sections
minimales des différents câbles
(voir « Branchement électrique de
l’appareil »).
–Poser et identifier le câble de
raccordement de telle sorte qu’il ne
puisse pas être endommagé et ne
constitue pas un danger – Risque
de trébucher !
–L’utilisation de rallonges électriques
inappropriées peut s’avérer
dangereuse. Il faut exclusivement
utiliser des rallonges homologuées
pour une utilisation à l’extérieur et
identifiées en conséquence et aussi
qui possèdent une section
suffisante.
–La fiche et la prise de la rallonge
électrique doivent être étanches et
ne doivent pas reposer dans l’eau.
–Il est recommandé de maintenir la
connexion à au moins 60 mm au-
dessus du sol, par exemple à l’aide
d’un enrouleur de câble.
–Ne pas risquer de les cisailler au
niveau des arêtes, pointes ou
autres objets acérés
–Ne pas les coincer dans les
ouvertures de porte ou de fenêtre
–Si les câbles sont emmêlés, retirer
la fiche secteur et démêler le câble
–Avant d’utiliser des câbles
électriques sur enrouleur, toujours
les débobiner complètement afin
d’écarter le risque de surchauffe et
d’incendie
Pendant le travail
Avertissement !
–Ne pas aspirer de liquides
contenant un solvant ou des acides,
ni des solvants non dilués (par
exemple essence, mazout, diluant
pour peinture ou acétone) ! Ces
substances endommagent les
matériaux employés sur l’appareil.
Le brouillard pulvérisé est
hautement inflammable, explosible
et toxique.
Toujours veiller à une position stable et
sécurisée.
Prudence en présence de sol glissant,
pluie, neige, verglas dans les pentes ou
les terrains irréguliers – Risque de
glissade !
Positionner le nettoyeur haute pression
le plus loin possible de l’objet à nettoyer.
L’appareil ne doit être utilisé qu’en
position verticale. Ne pas recouvrir
l’appareil et veiller à ce que la ventilation
du moteur soit suffisante.
Ne pas diriger le jet haute pression sur
des animaux.
Ne pas diriger le jet haute pression vers
des endroits non visibles.
Les enfants, les animaux et les
spectateurs doivent être tenus à
distance.
Au cours du nettoyage, veiller à ce que
des substances dangereuses (p. ex.
amiante, huile) provenant de l’objet
nettoyé ne parviennent pas dans

l’environnement. Il faut impérativement
respecter les directives en vigueur pour
la protection de l’environnement !
Ne pas nettoyer des surfaces en
amiante-ciment avec le jet haute
pression. Outre les saletés, le jet peut
détacher des fibres d’amiante
dangereuses car elles risquent de
pénétrer dans les poumons. Il existe
notamment un danger après le séchage
de la surface traitée.
Ne jamais nettoyer les pièces sensibles
en caoutchouc, en tissu ou similaire
avec un jet rond, par exemple avec la
turbobuse. Lors du nettoyage, laisser un
espace suffisant entre la buse à haute
pression et la surface pour éviter
d’endommager la surface à nettoyer.
La gâchette du pistolet doit pouvoir être
actionnée facilement et revenir d’elle-
même en position initiale lorsqu’on la
relâche.
Il faut toujours tenir le dispositif de
projection à deux mains pour pouvoir
maîtriser le recul ainsi que le couple
supplémentaire qui se produit dans le
cas des dispositifs de projection équipés
d’une lance coudée.
Il ne faut pas rouler sur le câble
électrique et sur le flexible haute
pression, ni l’écraser, l’étirer etc. pour ne
pas l’endommager. Le protéger de la
chaleur et de l’huile.
Le jet à haute pression ne doit pas entrer
en contact avec le câble de
raccordement.
Si l’appareil a subit des contraintes
inhabituelles (par exemple choc ou
chute), il faut impérativement vérifier
avant toute nouvelle utilisation s’il
présente une parfaite sécurité de
fonctionnement – voir aussi la section
« Avant le travail ». Il faut également
vérifier le bon fonctionnement des
dispositifs de sécurité. Il ne faut en
aucun cas continuer d’utiliser un
appareil qui ne présente pas une
parfaite sécurité de fonctionnement. En
cas de doute, prendre contact avec un
distributeur.
Avant de laisser l’appareil : Arrêter
l’appareil et retirer la fiche secteur.
Dispositif de sécurité
En cas de déclenchement du dispositif
de sécurité, une pression
excessivement élevée est renvoyée
dans le côté aspiration de la pompe
haute pression par le biais d’une
soupape de décharge. Le dispositif de
sécurité est réglé en usine et son
réglage ne doit pas être modifié.
Après le travail
–Retirer la fiche de la prise
électrique.
–Débrancher le tuyau d’arrivée d’eau
entre l’appareil et la source d’eau
Ne pas tirer sur le câble électrique pour
retirer la fiche de la prise électrique,
mais tenir la fiche !
Entretien et réparations
–N’utiliser que des pièces de
rechange de haute qualité afin de
réduire au maximum tout risque
d’accident ou de dommages à
l'appareil. Consulter un distributeur
agréé pour toute question à ce
sujet.
–Pour éviter tout danger, seul un
électricien professionnel est
autorisé à réaliser des travaux sur
l'appareil (par exemple remplacer le
câble électrique).
Nettoyer les pièces en matière plastique
avec un chiffon. Les détergents trop
puissants risquent d'endommager la
matière plastique.
Si nécessaire, nettoyer les fentes
d'aération dans le carter du moteur
Soumettre l’appareil à une maintenance
régulière. N’effectuer que les
interventions de maintenance et
réparations décrites dans le Mode
d’emploi. Faire exécuter toutes les
autres opérations par un distributeur
agréé.

NDesserrer le frein de l'enrouleur de
flexible
Pour desserrer le frein de l'enrouleur de
flexible, tirer le bouton (1) vers le bas et
le faire tourner en sens inverse des
aiguilles d'une montre.
Pour bloquer l'enrouleur de flexible, faire
tourner le bouton (1) du frein dans le
sens des aiguilles d'une montre et
l'enclencher en tournant légèrement la
manivelle.

Raccordement au réseau d’eau potable
Lors du raccordement au réseau d’eau
potable, il faut poser un clapet de non-
retour (type BA) selon EN 60335-2-79
entre le robinet et le tuyau.
De l’eau potable qui a traversé le clapet
de non-retour n’est plus considérée
comme de l’eau potable.
Il faut respecter la réglementation du
réseau de distribution d’eau local afin
d’éviter que l’eau provenant du
nettoyeur haute pression ne puisse
revenir dans le réseau d’eau potable.
Le nettoyeur haute pression ne peut être
utilisé en mode aspiration qu’avec le kit
d’aspiration (accessoire optionnel).
Il est conseillé d’utiliser
systématiquement un filtre à eau.
NRaccorder l’appareil à la source
d’eau sous pression et le mettre en
service pendant un court instant
conformément au présent mode
d’emploi.

fournis de série avec le nettoyeur haute
pression ne sont pas étanches lors d’un
fonctionnement en aspiration et ne

La tension et la fréquence de l'appareil
(voir la plaque signalétique) doivent
coïncider avec la tension et la fréquence
du réseau électrique.
La protection du branchement au
réseau doit être exécutée
conformément aux indications dans les
caractéristiques techniques – voir
« Caractéristiques techniques ».
L'appareil doit être branché au réseau
d'alimentation électrique par le biais d'un
disjoncteur différentiel à courant de fuite
qui coupe l'alimentation lorsque le
courant de fuite vers la terre dépasse
30 mA pendant 30 ms.
Le branchement secteur doit être réalisé
conformément à la norme CEI 60364-1
et à la réglementation nationale.
Lors de la mise sous tension de
l'appareil, si les conditions du réseau
sont défavorables (impédance élevée),
d'autres charges raccordées peuvent
être affectées par les fluctuations de
tension qui se produisent. Aucune
perturbation n'est à attendre en
présence d'impédances de réseau
inférieures à 0,15 ohm.
La rallonge doit avoir la section minimale
indiquée en fonction de la tension du
réseau et de la longueur de câble.
Raccordement à la prise secteur
Vérifier que l'appareil soit éteint avant de
le brancher à l'alimentation électrique –
voir « Arrêt de l'appareil ».

NOuvrir le robinet d'eau
L'appareil ne doit être mis en marche
que lorsque le tuyau d'arrivée d'eau est
branché et le robinet ouvert, sinon le
manque d'eau peut provoquer des
dommages à l'appareil.
NDérouler complètement le flexible
haute pression
NTourner l'interrupteur de l'appareil
en position I, l'appareil est à
présent en mode de repos.
NDiriger le pistolet de pulvérisation
vers l'objet à nettoyer – jamais sur
des personnes !
Lors de la mise sous tension de

Laisser fonctionner l'appareil en mode
de repos au maximum pendant
5 minutes. Arrêter l'appareil par son
interrupteur lors des interruptions du
travail supérieures à 5 minutes ou si
l'appareil est laissé sans surveillance –
voir « Arrêt de l'appareil ».

Arrêt de sécurité
Si l'appareil sous tension n'est pas
utilisé, il se déconnecter
automatiquement du réseau électrique
après 30 minutes. Protection contre un
actionnement involontaire du pistolet de
pulvérisation (par exemple par une
personne non concernée).
Pour remettre l'appareil en service,
l'éteindre et le rallumer.
Commande d'inertie du moteur
La pompe continuer de fonctionner hors
pression dans la liaison de dérivation
pendant 20 s environ après la fermeture
du pistolet de pulvérisation, le moteur ne
s'arrête qu'après ce délai. Cela évite que
le dispositif de déconnexion
automatique se déclenche trop
fréquemment.
NVerser le détergent STIHL dans le
réservoir à détergent en appliquant
la dilution préconisée
NRetirer le tuyau d'aspiration de la
rainure et le glisser le plus loin
possible dans le réservoir de
détergent.
L'aspiration de détergent depuis le
réservoir à détergent est impossible si
des rallonges pour flexible haute
pression sont montées.
L'aspiration du détergent n'est possible
qu'en mode basse pression.

précision. Dans ce cas, mesurer le débit
d'eau et la consommation de détergent.

Il faut toujours retirer la fiche secteur
avant toute opération d'entretien ou de
réparation de l'appareil.
Pour garantir un fonctionnement sans
problème, il est recommandé d'effectuer
les opérations suivantes à chaque
utilisation de l'appareil :
NAvant le montage, rincer le tuyau à
eau, le flexible haute pression, la
lance et les accessoires avec de
l'eau
NÉliminer le sable et la poussière de
la fiche de la lance et de la prise du
pistolet pulvérisateur
Nettoyer la buse haute pression
Le nettoyage doit être réalisé
immédiatement, car une buse bouchée
peut entraîner une pression excessive
de la pompe.
NArrêter l'appareil
NActionner le pistolet jusqu'à ce que
l'eau s'égoutte seulement de la tête
de pulvérisation – l'appareil est à
présent dépressurisé
NDémonter la lance
NNettoyer la buse avec une aiguille
appropriée
Ne nettoyer la buse que lorsque la lance
est démontée.
NRincer la lance avec de l'eau depuis
le côté buse
Nettoyage du filtre d'arrivée d'eau
Nettoyer le filtre d'arrivée d'eau une fois
par semaine ou plus souvent, suivant le
besoin.
NDévisser le raccord pour flexible (1)
NDétacher prudemment le filtre (2)
avec une pince et le rincer
NVérifier que le filtre est intact avant
de le remettre en place, le
remplacer s'il est endommagé
Nettoyer les ouvertures de ventilation
Garder l'appareil propre afin que l'air de
refroidissement puisse entrer et sortie
librement par les ouvertures de
l'appareil.
Graisser les raccords
Graisser les raccords du flexible haute
pression en cas de besoin.
Vérifier les béquilles
Pour garantir la stabilité de l'appareil,
remplacer les deux béquilles avant si
elles sont endommagées ou usées.
