Introduction
We congratulate you on the purchase of
your new product. You have chosen a
high quality product. The instructions for
use are part of the product. They contain important
information concerning safety, use and disposal.
Before using the product, please familiarise your-
self with all of the safety information and instruc-
tions for use. Only use the unit as described and
for the specified applications. If you pass the prod-
uct on to anyone else, please ensure that you also
pass on all the documentation with it.
Proper use
This product is only suitable for operation outdoors.
This product is intended for use in private, domestic
enviroment only and not for commercial purposes.

Safety information
DANGER OF
DEATH AND ACCIDENTS FOR
TODDLERS AND CHILDREN!
Never leave children unsupervised with the
packaging material. The packaging material
represents a danger of suffocation. Children
frequently underestimate the dangers. Please
keep children away from the device at all times.
This product is not a toy. It does not belong in
the hands of children. Children are not able to
appreciate the dangers associated with using
the product.
This appliance can be used by children aged
from 8 years and above and persons with

reduced physical, sensory or mental capabili-
ties or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way
and understand the hazards involved. Children
shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning
and user maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision.
Ensure that the product is installed by suitably
experienced or qualified persons only.
CAUTION! RISK OF OVERHEATING! Do
not operate the string lights inside the packaging.
After use, keep the string lights in the packaging
to prevent unwanted damage.
Do not pull the light chain cable and make sure
it is laid down properly so that no one walks or
trips over it.
The product can be used on all surfaces officially
classified as being of “normal flammability“.
Do not attach any other objects to the product.
Avoid the danger of
death from electric shock!
Before use, ensure that the mains voltage
available is the same as the required operating
voltage for the device ( 220–240 V∼).
Before connecting the device to the mains you
should always check the string lights and the
mains lead for any damage.
Never use the light set if you discover that it is
damaged in any way.
This light chain´s external flexible tube is non-
replaceable. Hence if it becomes damaged
you must dispose of the entire light set.
This article does not contain any parts which
can be serviced by the user. The bulbs cannot
be replaced.
Only use the string lights with the supplied
power pack for the type (Model No.
EDD-240060-IP44); all warranty claims will
otherwise expire.
Never open any of the electrical parts or insert
any kind of object into them.
Protect the mains cable from sharp edges,
mechanical loads and hot surfaces.
Do not install with sharp fasteners or nails.
Always unplug the power pack from the socket
before installation, dismantling or cleaning.
Never touch the light chain plug or the light
chain itself with wet hands.
The string lights must not be electrically con-
nected to another set of lights.
If the string lights are not in use for any length
of time (e.g. holidays), disconnect them from
the power supply.
If you have any questions about the product or
are unsure about any of its aspects, please
seek the advice of an electrical equipment
specialist.
The product is only suited for use with the in-
cluded mains adapter (Model No.
EDD-240060-IP44).
Please note that the power adapter continues
to draw a small amount of power even if the
light chain is turned off as long as the power
adapter is plugged into a power outlet. To
switch the device off completely, unplug the
power adapter from the socket.
The illuminant is not replaceable.
If the illuminant fails at the end of its life, the
entire light chain must be replaced.
Do RISK OF EXPLOSION!
not use the light chain in explosive atmos-
pheres where flammable vapours, gases or
dusts are present.
Do not expose the LED Tree to any strong
vibrations or heavy mechanical stresses.
Make sure the cable is not laid down in areas
where lawn mowers, trimmers, scissors or
similar cutting tools are used.
RISK OF INJURY! Make
sure that, when the light chain is removed, the
base plate and the ground spike are also
removed, so that they do not present any risk
(e.g. risk of stumbling).
Installation
Remove the individual parts from the packag-
ing and mount the light chain according to fig-
ures A–E. The site for the tree must be selected

in a way that it is erected on a solid, level and
vibration-free base. Anchor the tree firmly to
the ground and make sure that the tree is stable!
Assembly without spike (see fig. A1):
Use four suitable screws and dowels (not in-
cluded) for the selected site underground and
mount the base plate 1. Make sure that the
recess on the tube of the bottom plate does not
apply to the recess when fixing!
Installation with spike (see fig. A2):
Anchor ground spike 2 to the ground and
mount base plate on it. When fixing the stand-
pipe 5 on the pipe of the bottom plate, make
sure to position the space of the pipe exactly
where the spike is fixed with the screw.
Further steps for both types of
installation:
Attach stand pipe to base plate and tighten
Hexagon screw 6 with the help of Hexagon
key 4 (see fig. B).
Attach crown 8 to stand pipe and tighten
Hexagon screw with the help of Hexagon key
(see fig. C).
Bend the individual branches of the tree to the
desired shape (see fig. D).
Plug the connector plug of lead wire into plug-
in power supply and tighten the screw connec-
tion, in order to prevent moisture from
penetrating inside. Then plug the plug-in power
supply 3 into a socket (see fig. E).
Timer function
To switch on the timer function, press the timer
button 9 after the product is connected to the
socket of power supply. The timer button 9
will light up when the timer function is activated.
The light chain lights glow permanently for
6 hours and will be followed by a subsequent
pause of 18 hours. Afterwards, the light chain
will light up again at its designated turn on
time for 6 hours followed by a subsequent
pause of 18 hours.
To switch off the timer function, press the timer
button 9 again and the light of the timer but-
ton 9 will be turned off.
Cleaning and care
CAUTION! DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
First pull the mains adapter 2 out of the mains
socket.
CAUTION! DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
For reasons of electrical safety the device must
never be cleaned with water or other liquids or
immersed in water.
Do not use any solvents, petrol or similar items.
This would damage the device.
Only a dry, lint-free cloth should be used for
cleaning.
Disposal
The packaging is made entirely of
recyclable materials, which you may
dispose of at local recycling facilities.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for
more details of how to dispose of your worn-out
product.
To help protect the environment, please
dispose of the product properly when it
has reached the end of its useful life and
not in the household waste. Information
on collection points and their opening
hours can be obtained from your local
authority.
Warranty
The device has been manufactured to strict quality
guidelines and meticulously examined before deliv-
ery. In the event of product defects you have legal
rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal

rights are not limited in any way by our warranty
detailed below.
The warranty for this device is 3 years from the date
of purchase. Should this device show any fault in
materials or manufacture within 3 years from the
date
of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our
choice
– free of charge to you.
The warranty period begins on the date of pur
chase.
Please keep the original sales receipt in a safe location.
This document is required as your proof of purchase.
This warranty becomes void if the device has been
damaged or improperly used or maintained.
The warranty applies to faults in material or manu-
facture. This warranty does not cover product parts
subject to normal wear, thus possibly considered con-
sumables (e.g. batteries) or for damage to fragile
parts,
e.g. switches, rechargeable batteries or glass parts.
