u Never put descaling, aromatic,
alcoholic or detergent products into the
steam cleaner, as this may damage it
or make it unsafe for use.
u If the home circuit breaker activates
while using the steam function,
discontinue product use immediately
and contact the customer support
centre. (Beware of the risk of electrical
shock.)
u The appliance emits very hot steam to
sanitize the area of use. This means
that the steam head, cleaning pads
and carpet attachment get very hot
during use.
Caution! Always wear suitable shoes
when using your steam mop and when
changing the accessories on your steam
mop. Do not wear slippers or open toed
footwear.
u The lid may become hot during use.
u Steam may escape from the appliance
during use.
Care should be taken when using this
appliance. DO NOT touch any parts
which may become hot during use.
u Switch the appliance off and return the
handle to the upright position before
removing the water tank.
u If steam is observed escaping from the
body of the hand held steam cleaner,
switch off and disconnect the unit
from the mains supply, allow to cool.
Contact your nearest authorised repair
agent. Do not continue to use the
appliance.
After use
u Unplug the appliance and allow to cool
before cleaning.
u When not in use, the appliance should
be stored in a dry place.
u Children should not have access to
stored appliances.
Inspection and repairs
u Unplug the appliance and allow to cool
before performing any maintenance or
repairs.
u Before use, check the appliance for
damaged or defective parts. Check for
breakage of parts, damage to switches
and any other conditions that may
affect its operation.
u Regularly check the power lead for
damage.
u Do not use the appliance if any part is
damaged or defective.
u Have any damaged or defective parts
repaired or replaced by an authorized
repair agent.
u Never attempt to remove or replace
any parts other than those specied in
this manual.

Verwendungszweck
Your BLACK+DECKERTM Dampfreiniger FSMH1300FX
wurde zum hygienischen Säubern von Bodenbelägen
aus versiegeltem Hartholz, Laminat, Linoleum, PVC,
Keramikiesen, Stein und Marmor entwickelt. Dieses Gerät
darf nur im Innenbereich verwendet werden und ist nicht für
den gewerblichen Einsatz vorgesehen.

After use
u Turn the AutoselectTM dial (2) to the OFF position.
u Wait until the steam mop cools down.
u Unplug the steam mop from the electrical wall outlet.
u Empty the water tank.
u remove the cleaning pad (10) and wash it ready for next
use (take care to follow the wash care instructions printed
on the cleaning pad).
Accessories
The performance of your appliance depends on the accessory
used. BLACK+DECKER accessories are engineered to high
quality standards and designed to enhance the performance
of your appliance. By using these accessories you will get the
very best from your equipment.
Hand held steam cleaning
Warning! ! Maintain the unit in a horizontal position during
use.
u Attach the required accessory.
u Connect the hand held steam cleaner to the mains.
u Press the ON/OFF button (1). It takes approximately 15
seconds for the steam mop to heat up.
u Turn the AutoselectTM dial (2) until the required setting is
reached. After a few seconds steam will start to come out
of the steam head.
Note! When rst lled or after running dry, it can take up to 45
seconds for steam to be produced.
u When you have nished using the hand held steam
cleaner turn the AutoselectTM dial (2) to the OFF position.
Turn the unit OFF by pressing the ON/OFF button (1) and
disconnect from the mains supply. Wait until the unit cools
down before storing (approximately ve minutes).

u Füllen Sie den Wassertank mit Leitungswasser.

Warnung! Füllen Sie den Tank nur in horizontaler Position auf.
Warnung! Der Tank hat eine Kapazität von 0.5 l. Überfüllen
Sie den Tank nicht.
u Schließen Sie die Verschlusskappe (4).
Hinweis! Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Verschlusskappe fest
sitzt.
Verwendung
Wichtig! Mit diesem Gerät können 99,9 % der Bakterien und
Keime abgetötet werden, wenn es gemäß der Anweisungen
in diesem Handbuch mit dem Mikrofasertuch und mindestens
90 Sekunden lang verwendet wird.
Ein- und Ausschalten (Abb. F)
u Zum Einschalten des Geräts drücken Sie den Ein-/Aus-
Schalter (1). Der Dampfreiniger benötigt zum Erreichen
der Betriebstemperatur ca. 15 Sekunden.
u Drücken Sie den Ein-/Aus-Schalter (1), um das Gerät
auszuschalten.
Achtung! Stellen Sie den Dampfreiniger – ungeachtet der
jeweiligen Oberäche – keinesfalls längere Zeit an einer Stelle
ab.
Stellen Sie den Dampfreiniger stets in aufrechter Stellung ab.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Dampfreiniger ausgeschaltet ist,
wenn dieser nicht verwendet wird.
Achtung! Leeren Sie den Dampfreiniger nach jedem
Gebrauch.
Hinweis! Nach dem ersten Befüllen oder nachdem der Tank
vollständig leer war, kann es bis zu 45 Sekunden dauern, bis
Dampf erzeugt wird.
AutoselectTM-Technologie (Abb. E)
Dieser Dampfreiniger ist mit einer AutoselectTM-
Programmwahl (2) für unterschiedliche
Reinigungsanwendungen ausgestattet. Die Programmwahl
dient zum Auswählen des richtigen Betriebsmodus für die
entsprechende Reinigungsanwendung.
Wählen Sie über AutoselectTM eine der folgenden
Anwendungen aus, indem Sie den AutoselectTM -Regler (2)
drehen, bis die gewünschte Einstellung angezeigt wird.
Einstellung Mopp Handgerät
Holz/Laminat Geringe Dampfmenge
Fliesen/PVC Mittlere Dampfmenge
Stein/
Marmor Hohe Dampfmenge
Der richtige Dampfausstoß für die entsprechende Reini-
gungsanwendung wird vom Dampfreiniger automatisch
ausgewählt.
Hinweis: Überprüfen Sie vor dem Verwenden des Dampfreini-
gers stets, ob die richtige Einstellung ausgewählt ist.
Anbringen des Schlauchs und Zubehörs am
Handdampfreiniger
Warnung! Überprüfen Sie vor jedem Gebrauch die Dichtung
zwischen dem Verbindungspunkt am Handdampfreiniger
und dem Dampfschlauch (12). Wenden Sie sich an eine
Vertragswerkstatt in Ihrer Nähe, wenn die Dichtung nicht
funktioniert oder beschädigt ist. Das Gerät darf nicht weiter
verwendet werden.
Anbringen des Schlauchs (Abb. H)
u Drücken Sie die Freigabetaste des Dampfschlauchs (17)
am Dampfschlauch (12).
u Schließen Sie den Dampfschlauch (12) am
Handdampfreiniger an, lassen Sie die Freigabetaste des
Dampfschlauchs (17) los und achten Sie darauf, dass sie
einrastet.
Wichtig! Stellen Sie vor der Verwendung des
Handdampfreinigers sicher, dass der Dampfschlauch (12)
ordnungsgemäß daran angebracht ist. Wenn aus der
Verbindungsstelle Dampf entweicht, ist der Schlauch falsch
montiert. Schalten Sie das Gerät aus, warten Sie, bis es
abgekühlt ist, und bringen Sie den Schlauch wieder an.
Warnung! Das Gerät sollte ausgeschaltet werden, bevor der
Schlauch angebracht wird.
Anbringen von Zubehörteilen (Abb. I)
u Richten Sie die Halterungen am Dampfdüse (12) an den
Aussparungen am Zubehörteil aus.
u Drücken Sie das Zubehörteil auf den Schlauch und
drehen Sie das Zubehörteil entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn,
bis dieses einrastet.
Wichtig! Alle Zubehörteile müssen am Dampfschlauch (12)
angebracht werden.
Entfernen des Schlauchs und Zubehörs
Warnung! Der Dampfschlauch (12), die Dampfdüse und
die Zubehörteile werden bei Betrieb heiß. Warten Sie , bis
das Gerät und alle Zubehörteile abgekühlt sind, bevor Sie
versuchen, Teile abzunehmen.
Entfernen von Zubehörteilen
u Drehen Sie das Zubehörteil im Uhrzeigersinn und ziehen
Sie es vom Schlauch (12) ab.
Entfernen des Schlauchs
u Drücken Sie die Freigabetaste für den
Dampfschlauch (17) am Dampfschlauch (12) und ziehen
